| Currently I do not have a sound/music"system" in each tanning room. I know, I know, it sounds funny, (I have music in the waiting area). 50% of my customers say they enjoy the quiet while they relax, 30% bring their mp3 players and the other 20% are trying to figure out where the volume is. Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

So it remains quiet and ambient. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. Mini systems.....they are cheap $25-$35 at Wallymart....get headsets from the Dollar store. Stays nice and quiet. Plays AM/FM/CD/MP3.... car stereo's that play MP3 that don't have a removeable face will cost at least $100+ and will be loud. Cannot plug in headsets. if you want it loud...mini systems come with speakers. We just don't use them. Very peaceful. Stereo in lobby playing music....you can speak with the customer without yelling. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. From the receiver I have wires running to each room so that they can listen to the radio as well with no commericals. I put on a general channel like 90s and now and have individual volume control in each room. __________________ Great Skin. Great Tan. "Mini systems" would be an interesting idea if they could be jacked into external speakers. I would go with XM and a fixed station for short time beds as not to effect turnover. Have Fun. Tom |

We got fed up and put mini systems in each room with headphones from the dollar store. They can listen to whatever they want and it's quiet now. We have a stereo that plays radio in the lobby for background music. Salon stays nice and quiet all day. We have mini system for the standup unit's also. Have stereo outside the standup and run the headsets through the top of the standup. Run an extension for the plug that can also be purchased from the dollar store. Headset sits nicely in the standup. They can preselect music before they go in or put a cd in. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. Some clients did not want to use the headsets and the variety of musical taste that clients have. Radio wars have begun. Also potential lawsuits from sharing headsets Solution: Buy the best component system you can afford, either have (2) 400 disc cd changes that can talk with each other ie: (Sony CDP-CX455) for mixing music selection. These units have many programmable features for musical tastes. Run good quality speakers in each room with volume control dials along with headjack inputs for their own headsets. These sony units will also play MP3 files if you have any for potentially more music play. I currently have a base of 14,000 songs on file of clients to listen to. Letting customers share headsets will open you up to potential lawsuits for headsets cannot be disinfected properly. |

| CZ | The salon used to have DMX Radio and that sucked. Repeated every hour on the hour.I have had SIRUS Satillite for over 2 years now and i love it and so do the clients.I use car systems (one for each room)mounted at the front counter run thru an amplifier to each room. This gives you the ability to control each rooms listening choice and volume. DMX was $225.00 a month. SIRUS is $79.00 a month for 8 rooms. $12.95 for the first receiver then $6.95 each for the next 2 then $12.95 for the 4th then $6.95 for the next 2 excetera.I have headphone jacks in each room. They are required to bring their own headsets. Last edited by kkeitht90 : 19th September 2006 at 05:55 PM. |
