| How do you troubleshoot audio issues? My amp is Bogen Gold Seal 100. It pops fuse when i start it. Last time i had similar trouble i had one of the volume controls in the room burned. If it is not an amp issue - what to do? Start disconnecting volume controls one by one? What can short amp? |

If not, then the amp is good. If the fuse blows with no speakers connected, the amp is bad. If the amp is good, turn down the volume and set it up just a little bit. Go through all of the rooms one at a time and disconnect the volume control from the system one at a time and check the rest of it for clear sound. It will just take trial and error by eliminating the bad control. There should be a matching transformer at each speaker. Make sure there is. Even on units like Suncasule that come with built in volume control. You still need to add a transformer. |
