Unhappy Help My Puter Quit....

All of my RTF files in my wordpad are unreadable..therefore unable to send to you all for help...as I did something to it and now they have front slashes and spaces and all need to be redone if I can't get some help...And the worst part is... it is all my info I send you all that I have accumulated about add-ons and where to call...everything...I tried re-loading XP but that didn't work...and another funny thing is when I punch up windows explorer to view my docs and programs...over half of them are all blue...even the drive C is blue and the others are black....instead of like the rest of them..

I would truly appreciate any help if someone knows...

Thank You in advance...Soo

Default try these

  1. spyware scan (reboot)
  2. virus scan (reboot)
  3. system restore to earlier point (reboot)

System restore to an earlier date. It doesnt affect files like that so it should fix whatever happened to make them not pop up.

The geeks are coming over at 2 tomorrow...as I had already tried to restore to an earlier date...BUT in order to make more hard drive room...I hit clear old restore points and BINGO!!! It didn't even give me a chance to save 1 or else that would be the best option yet...as that was the first thing I tried!!!

Thanks Again.... Soo

Just finished with them....OMGosh...they were awesome...showed at exact time and was a 2 hour minimum...and I had a coupon for 50. off so was 110. ...he did my laptop also as while I am laying on my back for the first hip replacement I can still come out and play with you all...

He also took off over 950 particles and 17 viruses...just to mention a few...LOL...ok who sent me all those??? HMMMM??? It's those trick yes and no down load questions that get ya...so watch out as it says 1 thing and your really downloading instead of saying NO like one thinks...

Anyway...this puppy is running faster then I can type ...of course a dead turtle can run faster then I can type...so no challenge there...speaking of NOT running...

I will be laid up in the hospital for 4 days on my 1st of 2 total hip replacements starting Tuesday the 16th...then I'll be home awhile..and 3 months in I go again..If I see another person talking on a cell phone and driving...I will stalk em...this is 4 years, 3 surgeries and 3 more to go ..because of a 21 year old chatter box....if anyone needs me..I welcome you...I am an email or call away...

Have a great week...and TAN those hydes while I am OUT on my PCA (patient controlled anesthesia)...rather it by my boat or my PC but NO..... Soo
