Grand Opening ideas - TanToday - Helping Salon Owners, One At A Time, Since 2000!

Hi all! I opened a tanning salon a little over a month ago and we are getting ready for a Grand Opening event in June. Does anyone have any ideas or things you would suggest doing or not doing? We have already advertised in a local magazine that we use every month, but I am just looking for some good ideas.

How about: Purchase one month at reg. price and get the next month "FREE" ...that will keep them coming back during July,which is a slower month than June.(here in Ms. anyway) run it during the month of June and July maybe or even August if it keeps working good for you.

For our Grand opening we did FREE TANS, that was better advertising than anything else. Although it didnt show as great a response in our area as it has for others on this site, it did help.
Join the Chamber and they will do a ribbon cutting that is good advertising.

For my grand opening I am going to have a FTW and have a local radio station come down to "host", and have live drawings and discounts. Sound good?

sounds good, try a raffle we did for our 1 year last month and what a success, cost $ 1.00 per ticket or $ 5.00 for 10, sold a bunch. We raffled off tanning packages, swimsuit, lotion and more.
