Default Suntouch Backup

I need to setup my system to do a backup to ZIP drive. Where do I go in the Suntouch Plus program to get this working? I have a 100mb Imoga floppy drive for backup.

What we do is backup our database every night. It normally is the largest file in the Sun folder. You can copy and paste,or you can use a backup program that probably came with the zip drive.....depending on the size.....you will probably need more than one disk.

We back up using microsoft on a 800 mb. cd.
We use 7 disks, labeled monday thru sunday...one for every night....then we throw them away and start over every two weeks.

Hope this helps some...need any more help...feel free to ask.
Your question has been sent to IDI for their answer too.

Thumbs up

To backup to a Zip Drive you go to Start > Programs > Toolbox and click on the Backup button. Choose the option to "Backup" and click next. When it asks what you wish to backup, select "Database Only" and click next. Click on "Select Location" and browse to your Zip Drive and give the file a name (usually naming the file with the date it was created is a good idea) then click next. Click next again and it will begin compressing and copying your data. When it indicates that is complete, then click next. Be sure to test the integrity of the backup file by clicking on "Test Zip File". If it indicates there is a problem, then abort the process and run the backup program again. If it tells you there are no problems then click finish and you are done. Be sure to store your backup disk in a safe place. We also recommend not storing all of your backup files on the same disk. If you have any questions about the specifics of this process then please contact Support at 770-650-8830.
