Airbrush problem!!
I need help! I just had a first time airbrush client get a light airbrush yesterday call and tell me that from her knees down and just her hands look orange. I have NEVER had anyone tell me they looked orange. I use Norvell Amber Sun dark with bronzer, and have never had problems. I use it on myself and all my staff. The client was not fair, but did not have much of a tan to speak of, walk in.
I have been doing Airbrushes since january, and I was taught by my business partner, who has been doing them for years. What am I doing wrong!?? How can we fix it??

Re: Airbrush problem!!
Get her back in because you need to see it for yourself anyway for training purposes. Assess the situation. There could be a ton of reasons as to why she had an issue. In the end..don't do the blame game.
What can you do?
Let her know that once in a Blue Moon someones skin ph or tone is just different. As much as we want this to be a one size fits all it just will never happen. Turn it around...Guarantee your work.
If you cannot fix it on the spot give her helpful tips or products in exfoliating it as quickly as possible.
Let her know that you are committed to finding her the perfect compatible sunless. Tell her you want her to come back once the color is gone and you want to do another spray using a different shade...no cost.
I promise you a happy ending. Just put yourself in her shoes and ask yourself what would make you satisfied enough to come back and see you again.

Re: Airbrush problem!!
Thankyou crystalss! Ive told her to come in and see me, so I can see whats going on. She'll be in later tonight. I have a couple pedicure stations, so I was thinking of sitting her right in that chair and seeing what I could do about her legs. She told me over the phone that it was just from her knees down and her hands. Should I try lemon juice and sugar?? or just exfoliat??
Im definitely going to tell her to try me again, no cost with a different shade like you said. Ive always used the same color on all the clients, just varied how much was used for light or dark. Maybe its time to try a lighter formula for the fairer clients.

Be careful on offering customers a "happy ending" you may find yourself in the wrong kind of business ... lol

Re: Airbrush problem!!
Well since its obviously your mistake, maybe you should offer her 3 free sprays.

Re: Airbrush problem!!
iTan...just exfoliate. It is not getting the chemical reaction off anyway but may lighten it a bit. Gives you a chance to have her there to explain things anyway.
Good luck and let us know how it went.

Re: Airbrush problem!!
I agree with CrystalSS...Have her come back in to see you and offer her one free tan. She will be happy and explain no 2 ppl are the same on the reaction on sunless.
Her hands MAY look orange because the skin is dryer..solution can look funny on dry skin. And if she wants the tan off faster just explain to her how that can be done.
Hot bath..baby oil soak..ect...
Also..Clear solution may work for her...You have to really be careful using clear..
practice..practice...practice..thats how ALL of us became the pro's we are on sunless...and YOU will get there. So...calm down and just get her in with you and talk
