What would you suggest to a teenager tanner that has SEVERE acne. I recommended Vanishing Act for his face but whats a good one for his body? The mom asked if I carried anything with Vitamin A. Hmmmm.....

Suggest that he stays off the 'miracle drug' acutane... Go to a very well "Educated" professional. Not nesscarily a dermoterriest for best results.

If they do not do that, suggest JA Anti- Blemish complex.

Try DS Sheer Wisdom. Hypoallergenic and odorless. I found vanishing act greasy - believe it or not. (I'm kinda a natural grease ball.)

Sheer Widom by DS is very greasy. Try Praise by Devoted Creations or even Impact by Supre.

Weird, I was told by another professional to recommend to him ACUTANE. I've never heard of it before but she suggested it. I also think the Vanishing Act tends to be greasy so now I feel bad recommending that. I need to pull it together with some good solid advice and products to help this kid out. Him and his mom are coming back in Friday.

Good job.

Put him in VHR bed and tell him to slide down, put face under tube lamps.

As a side note... there should be no tanning (indoors or out) for someone who is taking Accutane. Users are highly sensitive to UV light. It's a nasty drug.

Just put him in the bed. I just hired a new salon cleaner. Her face was sooooooooooooo bad!!! So I set her up a tanning package and told her for her skin type I don't think she should use anything on her face until we see how her skin reacts with the UV light . 3 tans and she look’s much better!! 3 weeks now and she looks great! She is now using Saving Face.

Drugs, creams and typical acne cures sometimes work in a partial way but the results are temporary and the side effects are nasty. The tiny handful acne sufferers who have learned how to clear their acne from within and without ever using drugs or over the counters are the only people in the world who keep their skin clear permanently. Now you can learn these clear skin secrets from a nutritionist and a former sufferer who knows from real-world experience exactly how it's done with the knowledge of online treatment of acne

DO NOT LET ANYONE TAN ON ACUTANE!!!!! It makes a person highly photo sensitive. We are talking severe burns and blisters.....and I am saying this from personal experience. Not everyone will have a reaction and not everyone that does have one will have it right off the bat. After 4 months of summer on it, I went to the beach in late august. I was outside for like an hour. Had some pain but thought it was poison ivy or something. Started my tanning back up and after the second tan I had blisters on my hands. Thought it was a reaction. Next day out in the sun it was so unbearable. I only figured out what it was after calling the doctor on Monday morning. I still have scars on my hands and face. I was young, 18, and should have made different choices, but then again I wasn't educated in the medicine’s side affects.

Should a 13 year old tan in a tanning bed to help with acne on his face?

There is much more to acne than just the surface. Acne is an issue that comes from inside the body. Tanning can help the outward signs of the issue but until the person fixes what is wrong inside it will continue.

Tanning can in most cases help acne but in my opinion you need a higher UVB to do the job. I never put people with acne in HP or HP facials. If the bed has HP facials then I have them tan with their feet under the facials. Tanning can, in some cases, cause acne scars to darken.

I work with a lot of teens and adults with acne issues. I put them on a detox, a daily fiber, a daily colon cleanse and make sure they are on a diet with very little sugar/artificial sweeteners.

Topically of course I recommend the Clear Advantage by Arbonne as I've sold it a lot and it works without the negative side effects of many acne medications. It has no caustic ingredients.

Your client will be very grateful when you recommend a complete regime for them and it works.
