Default Looking to change my lotion line up.

Hey everyone. Im ready to trash my whole lotion line up. I just got my salon and all they carried was fiesta sun, pro tan and splash tonics. They carried some cheap DS stuff as well. None of it does well at all.

I was thinking from what I have read here that fiji and DC would be my best bet for good lotions that get dramatic results.

First question is, does anyone know if the new nano dha free lotion is any good? Has anyone had the chance to sample it yet?

Also, more of a broad question, what would be some good choices for the fiji line? I would like to have some lower priced stuff thats decent for the kids and I heard that fiji has some good stuff in a lower price range. Also, for the good stuff Im looking for some sweet bronzers and good tingles from fiji.

Same goes for DC. I was thinking of picking up some DC stuff as well. I know that I want to get trinity for a good tingle. I have people that want more than what I have to offer at the time, which is unforgiven from swedish beauty. (I just started carrying it.)

So fire away! Im afraid of buying more stuff that people wont really like. Im about to place an order here in an hour or so, so any advice quick would be great!

Pick up Fiji's cheap line *Noir, Xenon, Savage and the new tingle one coming out.

Good lotions on the higher end that work great for us, NanoX, Impulse (fav. accel), Deviant (tingle), Omega 3.

As for DC....i think all their new ones are a big hit.....and you can add the Tryst, Trinity, to that list.

Din is right
Devoted has been a big hit here as well! We have done very well with Vision as well as Sacred Tryst. We will be adding more of their new products once they are available.
For my 30 and under I have been carryin the Tanology Spa Line. Only draw back to it is they dont offere packets and I do like my clients to have the option of trying a sample prior to purchase.
I plan on adding more Fiji this year as well. You dont want to many options in the same price range cuz then you get a lot of, well whats the difference? Try and keep it simple

So do you think it would be wise to order the entire new line of DC plus trinity and tryst?

What about whats availiable now? I know I cant get dc's new line yet. Theres only a few new lotions out by them anyway right?

Maybe I should grab trinity and tryst now and just wait for the rest of the new stuff?

And thanks for the speedy replies guys!

And what about needing nirvana?

They Have New:

Supreme Elegance
Supreme Power

Devoted to Couture

Mon Ame
With Love

and the new Green/Ornanic line.....

as well as the new moisturizer Krem.

My top seller of all products i carry......TRYST.

Trinity sells well for tingle fanatics....most don't like Deviant from Fiji cuz it's sticky.

Unity is a very strong self-tanner (tint, bronzer)....but works well for people that want colour for that night.

Serenity.....eh...it's okay....not a big hit, but you need an accelerator.....Impulse from Fiji is my top selling accelerator.

Vision is an amazing product...great colour...people love it....only thing is they can't stand the smell. You'll smell like cake batter afterwards.....if Devoted could keep that formula and come out with something like....Vision part deux....with a nicer smell, it'll be a top seller.

Trinity is a really really really strong tingle so be careful with that one.

If that's your whole lotion inventory and noir is your only non bronzer accelerator you're a few tomatoes short of a salad.

Both of those lines carry excelent accelerators.... read up on them

Its not. I have Idol, lime n da coconut, and coco beach hemp accelerator. Ill soon pick up a good accelerator from both fiji and DC. For now, I have a few bottles of average to excellent accelerators that I want to offload first.

Have a lotion sale and get rid of some of your old stuff you don't want to keep around to make room for the new ones

Thats exactly what I did. I have a basket on the counter with a sign that says all lotion in the basket is 50% off. Since no one ever really looked at these bottles before, I marked them up a little from what I was selling them and then say its 50% off. So its more like 30% off. But its flying out the door so thats good. Come tomorrow when my new stuff arrives I doubt that any of the bargain basket will move, maybe a couple of bottles but not much because Im gonna push the hell out of the DC and Fiji stuff. Im still hunting for a good mid price point lotion of around 35 bucks. I have to look over some lines and see whats available. I now have the 15 and 20 dollar range covered and then it jumps up to the 45-55 dollar range and a couple of bottles are a little more than that. So I need to get a few items in the 30 dollar range I figure. Maybe a bronzer or something. Any thoughts?

Fiji cheap line can sell for $30.......why sell it so cheap.

My cheapest lotion is $45/bottle and goes up to over $100.

$30 is cheap for a lotion.....why bother selling stuff for $15....to make $5.00? not worth my time or shelf space.

I was just going off of the retail price. I take it you sell your lotions over suggested retail? Like the xenon and noir, you sell those for 30 bucks? Retail on those is like 15 bucks. If its good enough to carry a 25 or 30 dollar price tag Ill do it no problem. Less trouble for me really. That means I dont have to mess around with trying to find more stuff to shove in that price gap.

We keep our 20.00 lotions under the counter just in case we have someone refuse to buy anything.

Haha! thats classic.

Hey, I have another question. Whats a good lotion up in the 100 dollar range? I wanted to have one or two on display to drive the point to my customers that 20 dollars is NOT the mid-price point anymore. (And have it actually be worth 110 bucks or so if someone ever decided to buy it.) And that 60 dollars for a great lotion is a bargain. I have seen a few people use the AG crystal and im not impressed personally. They always look a bit orange after using it. They didnt get it here, I've never carried it.

Has anyone else seen that? Anyways, any advice in the super high end bottles would be appreciated. Thanks!

CT-7 is always a good standby. There are 4 varieties to stock as well. A Maximizer, An Accelerator, a Bronzing Mazimizer and a Bronzing Accelerator. All price in $100 range. Great skin conditioners, good smell and classy looking bottles !

But being that a ton of new products are coming out, if you can, I would hold off a little. The word I got was that most lotions will be available Nov 1st ! Cypher to me is the best looking newbie, that shouts $$$

Good Luck To You
