| Okay, I know the difference from what Cal Tan has told me. I am still not sold on the two step difference. We regularly sell $70-$100 lotions, so pricing is not an issue. I have a hard time getting a customer to spend a second $100 to have a second step. They all want step 2 because it will help them get darker. I also have issue with Cal Tan and needing 4 items on the shelf to have one lotion on the floor Anyone out there have idea or options that work for them? I really want to carry Cypher, but 4 products over $100 in my stock room is a lot of cash! Thanks in advance. Steve |

Step 3 - Extenders In the CalTan Step System you always have your client start with Step 1 if they do not have a base tan yet. Tell them that after they finish using the Step 1 product then to move to a Step 2 product. Both Step 1 and Step 2 clients should use a Step 3 product to lock in color and extend their tan. (Creating a two product sale) Our Salons were CalTan exclusive for several years. It is a very effective way to sell if you consistently stay with the Step System. In my experience it only works well if you carry only CalTan. If you carry other brands than it is not as effective as a selling tool. We now carry AG, SB, DS, CalTan. We now treat the Step 1 as a base tan builder only (No Bronzers, No Hot Actions). Step 2 are Bronzers and Hot actions. When carrying more than one brand I have found that selling CalTan this way to be very effective. I expect Cypher to be one of our best sellers this season. Good Luck in 08 |

I don't see the need. __________________ ************************************************** ***************** Grammar Tip of the Year - Apostrophes are for condensing and belonging...NOT pluralizing. ![]() SandiGirl ~ Changing tanning forums one apostrophe at a time. |

This is supposed to give a more natural look than it has in the past. __________________ |
