I guess if you have a small selection of lotion to start with it wouldn't make sense, but we carry over 80 bottles and 150 different packets. Different price points and lots of choices, ( we like choices and It seems so do our clients!) so for our salon I think its a great idea. I have 11 different bottles for men!

I wouldn't separate the lotions and here why. you are limiting who you sell a lotion to. Coming from a guy's perspective, if I walked into a salon that had a mens section I would buy a lotion out of that section only.. there is no way i would buy a lotion out of the womens section even if there was one there that might fit my needs better. If I were to do a guys/ girls section i wouldn't label them as such. You can congregate them together just don't put up a sign. As a sales person you are the one who is really choosing the lotion that your customer buys. Its just a matter of convincing them that what you suggest as a professional is the right lotion for them. I once sold a guy DS Drama queen because he wanted a good hemp accelerator and no bronzer. I even cut the label off for him so the guys down at the fire station wouldn't give him crap.

I used to have a guy who bought sex kitten, But I didnt suggest it, it was just a cheap lotion and he was secure in his manhood.
With as many as i carry it just makes it easier to find them when i want instead of " well i have this one over here and this one over there and oh yeah, this one over here".

I carry the Hammer and then have a few other lotions that men could use that are not too girly smelling. I just tell that to the customer and show them the 2-3 lotions that are more for men. They always buy one of the ones I tell them too. Always easy sell.

Thats nearly a tough one...but most men don't like fragrances?? At least thats what they say. I think they say that as an excuse...not to use one...like they think they all have fragrance's and just say it to get you off their back..

Men don't like fragrances. It is not an excuse.

Rare that they buy something better or more expensive. But the older ones...that look in the mirror and see wrinkles...are coming around! I tell them, its easier to prevent wrinkles than get rid of them...but its not too late. The anti-aging ingredients will help in diminishing the look of...wrinkles. I love it when someone younger is standing behind this person hearing my speel...they instantly upgrade their lotion!!!

Men don't give a fuque about wrinkles and using moisturizer.

The Mankind line is aimed towards men (and tough chicks) so it makes a nice shelf presence by itself. There are many lotions that are suited for men but alot of men don't want to take the time to "shop" so for the quick sell having a mens line or mens area may help sell to guys that may not otherwise purchase lotion.
