I'm one thats believes in change...and trying different idea's...and being "men" are sometimes a tough sell on lotions...why not try a mens section. I also see men's skin care products coming out. Good luck on those! It's one thing to get a man to use a lotion...and then to get them to use moisturizers. Its a slow progress, but we're getting there! I'm all for this "men's section" Great idea!! |

I think they say that as an excuse...not to use one...like they think they all have fragrance's and just say it to get you off their back...which does'nt work for me! We sell them Tao (DS) mostly...some Sheer Wisdom...and the cheap azz's...hustle...which i am clearancing! Too cheap! Rare that they buy something better or more expensive. But the older ones...that look in the mirror and see wrinkles...are coming around! I tell them, its easier to prevent wrinkles than get rid of them...but its not too late. The anti-aging ingredients will help in diminishing the look of...wrinkles. I love it when someone younger is standing behind this person hearing my speel...they instantly upgrade their lotion!!! ![]() Will have to give this "men's idea" more thought but i like this idea for sure. |

BUT that being said the right sales girls can sale any guy any lotion. I have one girl who is outgoing enough that she will do what I have trained her to with the men. She never/rarely fails to sell the guys lotion and usually it isn't the 20 ish bottle ones that most guys go for she usually can get a 40 to 70 dollar bottle out of them. She simply explains how lotions work and the benefits and what not and then grabs one of her choice grabs one of their hands and rubs it in looking them in the eye and explaining to them "how smoothley it rubs in" and to smell bla bla bla ... im not going to lie she is good and would have sold me a good lotion before I owned a salon! |

Knowing which lotions will probably appeal to most guys (like Hammer, Thrust, Ionyx, Tao) and why they need to use lotion is the most important thing. On the other hand if you aren't pro-active I can see how having these lotions displayed together in a men's section might stimulate some browsing. That being said we sell guy's Devoted to Courture, Black, and even Bombshell, which you typically wouldn't display for guys. It's one of those things that doesn't cost you any money (unless you plan to expand your selection of "men's" lotions) and very little time to set-up. If you decide to do it keep us posted on how it goes. |

I have Hustle but I don't even have it out, its a last resort lotion that I pull out if they refuse to buy anything else. The lotions I listed all don't have a girly smell and the bottles are simple, dark "manlyish" colors. I don't know. I need more input from the men on here to tell me if they feel the "men's section" is a good idea. When you think about it. At department stores, they don't mix up the men's cologne and women's perfume, so why are we mixing up all the lotions? Also, I am proactive on selling lotion, however my employees are a little less motivated. I'm working on that. But I figure, even if it generates 1 or 2 lotion sales its worth it, like you said, it's not costing me a thing. Last edited by JustTans23 : 7th January 2008 at 12:25 PM. |

I use Spellbound, but Black comes in tomorrow. When i sold CT, i also used CT7 only. So, all this catering to men...ahhh...not worth the effort to separate it??? I mean, now if there were "for men only" i would jump all over it. Not so long ago i was reading some article that had products for men, that were the same as for woman, just packaged differently...mind you, same products...and men's products were less money than woman's. Why? Women will spend more than men! |

We have found that a guy's guy not a gay guy..... that most will use a super dry spray accelerator that doesnt have to be rubbed in and can be mist to there back since most guy's guy lack flexability to reach there own back. It should dry before there done with there session and not have a girlie scent. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 1999........................
