| this could be....i havent crunched like this....but my way seems more apt to entice employee's to sell more than your math....even though it may be the same. |

Do you make it mandatory that they hit a particular PSA (Per Sales Average or Per Session Average depending on who you talk to) to get the commission? Or do they get it regardless of PSA? |

And if it's in a range of say $3.50 which is 15% bracket. You then take the total lotion sales they made for that month which is say $1500 and you give them 15% of the total which is $225 commission. Is that how you do it? __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. if they have a lppa of 3.50...whic is the 50% extra of 10% of total sales...so if they had $1500 total in product sales, they'd get the 10% ($150) and 50% more ($75 extra) = $225 ahh, guess it does work out like the other guy stated... ![]() suntouch tracks it all. it gives them their totals of product sales and show how many people they waited on. divide the total people waited on...into the total sales to get their lppa.

| Express Tan Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: MN Posts: 925 | Ha Ha! How long did it take you to come up with that? It sounds way more confusing than motivating. Do you think it is better to basically give your employees the discount than your clients? For example, you are discounting your price up to 22.5% but the employees gets it. Do you think that if you sold the lotion to the customer for a discount you would sell more like some here do? |

giving up 22.5% ok, worse case senario, client buys a black at lets just say $100 and employees keeps their lppa above $6....they get $22.50 for a sale i pay $25 for. i still make $52.50 lets not get so greedy arron...take care of your employees and they will take care of you. if this did'nt motivate my employee's and make me way more monies on lotion sales i would'nt of shared it. i knew someone would try and come on here and bash it. proof is in my sales. ![]() Last edited by northtanman : 22nd August 2008 at 11:06 AM.

| Rookie Join Date: May 2008 Location: Dayton, Ohio Posts: 3 | Can someone PLEASE tell me how to find this info with helios system!!! I have one employee who just will not sell lotions. And she has been a tanning tech. for years. I have a new girl who has only been a tanning tech. for 1 yr. and she can sell lotion to someone who just bought a bottle yesterday!!!! I have only had the salon for 3 years. And I keep trying to find ways to get the girls to sell lotion. If I do not run a special that includes lotion the one girl just will not sell at all. I do not know how to motivate her!!! |

| The Evil Klown Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Dallas, Texas Posts: 105 | This is how the owner set our commission... 3mo, 6mo, and 12mo packages 10% All EFT packages $5.00 We get nothing for any Mystic Tan packages Lotions $20-$29 = $1 $30-$39 = $2 $40-$49 = $3 $50-$59 = $4 $60-$69 = $5 Super minute packages = 10% If someone comes in for a single tan, and we talk them into doing a month, we get nothing. Single Full price superbed tans = nothing It's real shitty, and I am trying to get it changed, in efforts to increase moral and sales. |

| The Evil Klown Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Dallas, Texas Posts: 105 | The bad thing about female employees (I am not sexest in any way) is that most of them think its a job where you just sit and hang out and look pretty. The girls that roll up in a brand new Infinity or Lexus usually get overlooked. I want employees that need the money, not just someone that mommy and daddy said "go get a job, doesnt matter where"... I ask them "Why do you want to work at a tanning salon?" as soon as I hear "It looks like an easy job"... application in the trash... |
