| SunShop Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: SouthEast Posts: 118 | I have been using Radiance F-73 7000 for a couple of years now. I am very pleased with the results for the majority of the lamps. I have had sets of lamps reach the 1000-1200 hour plateau while still kicking butt on the meter. On the other hand, I have put in new lamps which never got within seven or eight points of the old lamps with 1200 hours on them. I really cannot complain too much because my distributor stood behind them but I was still out the time of replacing the lamps a 2nd time. I am sure you do this but, I check my lamps every Saturday with a UVA+B meter and then log it in a notebook along with the hours and dates. This is the only way you can keep up with performance. I am always surprised to hear that some owners replace lamps at the beginning of the season and never check them until next spring. NOT SMART! |

The LS could mean Light Source but I am not sure. It would have to be one bad mamba-jahamba if it beats Radiance as far as color and life are concerned. Thanks, Reed |

I think the Radiance lamps I used WERE made by LSI, and they performed really well. I was extremely happy with them. I have not used Radiance in a couple of years, so I can't speak for them now, but if you are metering them and getting 1000 hours out of them, LSI ain't gonna beat that. |

The panther dies quickly |

| Moderator | It's a good thing there are so many of us...as we all have our own opinions and don't just settle for one...LOL...I couldn't wait till the day my Radiance lamps turned 600 hours...thats when I normally change all my lamps...We have never had as many complaints as we did with those lamps...Wasn't the lotion.... it was the lamps...but to each their own... We are back to Velocity Plus and vk90.... Have a great weekend.. Soo __________________ What Other Profession Does The Sun Shine Everyday?? Enjoy It !! |

| All Star Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Michigan Posts: 183 | I spent a lot of money on Panther lamps to have them burn out one by one two months after I had them and because it was after 30 days I ate the cost. Panther couldn't stand a chance next to Radiance 9000. Trust me though, tan in it first so you can tell your clients how screamin strong they are - you could really hurt someone if they weren't ready for it. They just can't be beat. I have had distys trying to talk me into others and I try them and they just don't compare. Radiance is THE BEST and they last forever!! The only thing that concerns me is that I understand they were bought out. I don't know if that will change the bulb manufacturing process at all and if the old manufacturer will use the Radiance specs making the same bulb under a new name. |
