btw Alan, I started this thread on the open forum. Why was it bumped to here? It should be where potential buyrs will see it, not here. Please put this thread where it belongs.

Personally I would fly to wherever Puretan is located and wait and wait and wait. Sooner or later, someone has to show up.....

JAS,

Everyone can see this thread. It is under the correct forum since this is where you go to find out about manufacturers.

Jeff,
This sounds crazy! WOW!
Maybe contact another manufacture that does inhouse leasing?? ETS?
Heartland? See if they can fill your need as far as beds go...so that you can get opened and start making money...then proceed with the other situation...
Best of luck...

I may be wrong here but if you signed a lease and your equipment has not been deliverd I would guess that you or the leasing company has any obligation to honor the lease at this point. The leasing company should be trying to help you secure equipment from someone else.

JAS,

I merged 2 of your threads because you posted the samething twice in 2 different forums. Once is enough. This way you keep all comments and conversations in this one thread and not separated.

JAS,

If you click on the Manufacturers Speak forum where this is located....you will see another thread called Buyer beware of Puretan. It's 4 pages of Puretan problems with over 1,000 views. There is no problem with people reading it.

If only you would have read it earlier too.......sounds like you are having the same problems.

I hope you come out on top with this...

Are you now responsible to the Leasing company for the money? Or are they going after puretan themselves?

can you go to another disty/manufacturer for beds at this point or are you stuck ?

I like puretan! I have an ellipse iii unit that is my biggest money maker!

But that is not why I like Puretan.

There is a competitor in my market that closed for remodeling in Nov. Big sign out front says open soon all new Puretan beds! I kow they have been waiting since at least DEC and still not open. I gettin more from their closure than the salon ever had in the first place.

I feel sorry for the owners, if they actually have money invested in equipment.

I have some beds lined up for this week. I will get open by March 5 or 6.

In my case Din, I have heard for 7 years that Puretan is going out of busines. I got my 33 beds previously with a few weeks delay at worst. From best I can tell, they really started this ponzi scheme around August. I never actually bought from Cantrell or Brandon. I always dealt with Roger and Brian, and never had a problem.

I talked with another victim (I hate that word, but what else do you call it) ,and per his advice I will contact the FBI on Monday, as he did this last week. Fraud over state lines is their jurisdiction. They told him that the dollar amount had to reach a certain point, but that should only take a few people calling in, and there are possibly dozens.

yep, competitor screwed over...

I did hear today that they got their beds last week. They are back in biz now..

They are screwed anyway. 4 beds in tiny bilding w/100A service. Not nearly enough AC No possible way to expand and the landlord willnot upgrade aC system r electrical. I looked at it several times, it has been sold 4 times in last 3 years. Was offered to me fr $11K i still passed on it.

I am curious to know what puretan beds they have and how many they can run at same time. I even went by the building a couple weeks ago to see if infrastructure has been upgraded and it still has only 200A service to entire building. 100A to tan salon. oh.. yes single phase power.

My ONE puretan bed plus ac s over 100A.

anyway....

BAD NEWS. They are closed, gone, finished. A fireman who ordered a bed from Matt called me today and said he went by Friday, and there were guys in the back taking stuff out, but there wasn't a bed in the place, nothing on the assembly lines, vacant. They have flown the coup.
I was told on Weds by Cantrell and Brandon that my beds were ready to go, just waiting on the "tees".

We need to now be sure to make them fugitives from the law.

Anyone scammed by them needs to contact there local FBI office immediately. It is an interstate crime, and they will move on it if they know the huge dollar amount involved.
But we need to do it before these guys move the funds around or get away. It is the only chance of getting a judge to order restitution, then send these thieves to jail. But everyone burnt must get on this NOW, before it is too late to get anything back.

Email me your information, I will compile it, and forward it to the Texas FBI office. But you must also contact your local office first.

Don't call me until I have the information, it will take too long to talk with everyone about this. That can come later. Right now we have to get the facts to the FBI, immediately.

Alan, will you please give me a list of any contact information of all the people who have posted this type of complaint in the last 6 months. It will help speed this up. This is not a drill. It is the real thing.

Alan, I think he was askin if you had a way to quickly find anyone who has had issues. If you have a faster way other than sifting thru the posts, then maybe you can help him and other out.

Thank you tanning queen. Exactly my point. I am not lazy or trying to be a pest. We have a short window to get any sort of restitution on this.

The fireman from Dallas told me that on Friday, two days after the plant closed, he actually got a call from a salesman. They can set up a shop somewhere else and rip people off, they don't have to be at the plant. They can get newbie leads from your own web site!

At another site their very first forum is "breaking news - items we want you to see". My thread is at the top of all other threads on their site. They consider it that important to prevent another person from getting ripped off.

No Puretan seems like Good news for you I would guess the leasing company will be more likely to work something out in your favor now, right? You should off the hook as far as that goes i would think.
