Default KBL America

How are these units? Went tanning in the KBL Convertible today. I liked it, I'm thinking of getting something like that in the future.

It's an awesome looking unit. I check on the price of the KBL4500 earlier this year and the quote I got was $15K... So, I'm sure the convertible is a lot higher (probably double).

If you're going to be spending that kind of money, mind as well go with 360 HP... Make you more $$$

Just my 2 cents

I won't be doing anything for a year or so, but I was just wondering because I really liked the bed when I went in it. I looked at the room specs on the website and it would fit in the rooms in my salon. I don't think an HP will no matter how hard I try. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't my imagination and the bed really was good.

Just make sure that you have the electrical to support whatever you're going with. Convertible requires 1 1/4 ton of A/C and 50 amp 3 phase. It does come in single phase.

Digibob soaked it all up, but once he opened he won't let anything out!

He's a classic "user". Like me!

How do I tell how much electrical I can handle? Do I just need to get an electrician in here to tell me?

In the main panel were all of your breakers are there should be one large breaker either 100 amp 200 amp 225 amp and so on if you have more than one panel add the two main together. Then take 80% of that and that is what you can use in amps legally.

I just tried to look and I don't think the main breaker is there because there is a square above all the breakers that says "Remove this twist out only when main breaker is installed in panel"

Then you will probably need an electrcian to tell you. Also look on any plates on the panel that may give you an idea of the maximum amount of amps the panel can handel. You may not have as much but it may get you into the ballpark of how many amps you have.

Justtans23:
I bought the KBL4000 at last years trade show in Vegas. I had very restrictive power requirements and this model was perfect. I have not had any problems with this unit except for the stupid flag switch that got bent when the air conditioning unit was installed.

I have owned this unit for 14 months now and have garnered over $30,000 over the original price of the unit. This unit is a work horse! I do not see you going wrong with a unit from KBL.

I have a KBL 3500 Ultra Power 140W for my level 2 bed. It's an outstanding bed. Wish I would have priced it a little higher to start out. I get $11.00 for a single session. Should have priced it at $13.00.

Alot of people prefer it to my level 3 ($17.00). It tans almost as well as the Blue Moon but $6.00 less. Absolutely no complaints on this bed.

I would tend to agree with Jamaica though. To spend that much money and not get HP seems foolish. What size is your room? The KBL convertible is 94x60. That's roughly the same size as my Matrix.

Ok, well I won't be able to do anything for a year unless a pile of money suddenly falls into my lap so it looks like I have some thinking and planning to do. Thanks for all the advice

Go outside by the electric meter. This is a sub panel and will not have a main breaker in it. The main breaker is probably by the meter as they are in similar building situations like yours.

It will probably have a door covering it...don't be scared, it won't shock you, open the door and read ther number stamped on the switch.

That will be the service rating.
