| I am driving my distributer (ergoline) crazy trying to get some more info about the Sotron Shark from the year 2006. (not the one with the mattress it has acrylic on the bottom)I have read a lot of info on here and other sites. I have only read bad things about it mostly. A few good ones here and there. These posts that I got through were from the year 2006. My distributer informed me that they fixed all the issues since then and that he had one new one and one used one. He is offering it to me the new one for about $25,000 and the used one for about $22.000. He has even offered to replace all the lamps in the used one. I have worked at our tanning salon for about four years and took over as manger about a year and a half ago. I have never purchased a tanning bed. I just feel like he is trying to rip me off. I feel like he is just trying to get these two beds out of his warehouse. I am just trying to be the first tanning salon for 40 miles with a high pressure bed and corner the market. I know the shark is only half HP and half VHR. Any fresh opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thank You. ![]()

While the Soltron Shark is a good bed for the right application, it is NOT a good bed if your goal is to "be the first HP bed in 40 miles and corner the market". As a combo bed, think of it NOT as an HP bed, but as a seriously powerful VHR bed with some HP lamps. Only your clients with the best tans already should use it, since it tans best at the full time. This is not a bed to go only half the time on and "work your way up". I don't think they are necessarily trying to rip you off, but it doesn't sound like it is the right bed for your salon. __________________ Ann Wiggins Noe Highline Capital 877-422-4100 x 250 anoe@highlinecapital.com www.highlinecapital.com |

The Shark is not one of the popular products made by Soltron. Like Ann has stated, it's a vhr bed on steriods and hard bed to distinguish between a true hp and a vhr. A better bet with the Shark, would be to go with the mattress version. Then you could say you have a true hp bed. $21,000 is too much for a used Shark. |

That is A LOT for a USED COMBO! __________________ ************************************************** ***************** Grammar Tip of the Year - Apostrophes are for condensing and belonging...NOT pluralizing. ![]() SandiGirl ~ Changing tanning forums one apostrophe at a time. |

Full HP plus has good "wow" factor. There are others out there as well...I just happen to have those and it's a great bang for the buck... RonnieT. |
