it's like saying...i'm gonna open a car rental place and outfit my entire lineup with Lada's and Chevettes. Why buy better cars when these do the same thing.

If you want to buy a Chevette....go ahead. We're just trying to edumakate you. If you still decide that you want them....go right ahead.

P.S. How much do you think you can rent a Chevette for?

They sell a complete salon package...10 beds and a ton of 'free' lotion for $29,000. REALLY!! You probably saw that on their web site.
In todays enviroment when one good bed cost $29K at the least, what kind of beds could the Tropicals really be??

Save your money.

the bottom line is they are Sunal beds with a different sticker on them. They are made of steel and I would suspect they would run forever. The perfect tan line still has the retro angled steel look to it from the 90's the tropical rayz beds have a different skin on them but the same bed. Even if you are set on your decision to buy the beds look for used and while you are at it look at other used beds

I was told that you must back the endcaps to get the acrylics off. If that's true, they're much too difficult to maintain. A salon owner I know inherited two of the Tropical Rayz beds and called me looking for a manual. After much research, I found the people that make them and the manual was available for download...for $10! I said "forget it". If your only criteria is "cheap" then you've found what you're looking for.

With the standups you have one screw at the top of each panel, it takes all of 10 seconds to unscrew and lift out the acrylic.

Good choice been there done that. Do not worry about "free lotion", buy a good bed at a good price and order new lotion from a reputable distributers.

i had 2 of these junk beds from the previous owner of this salon..
one was a 32 lamp 2 facial..this one ended up in the dumpster..i could of sold it but why bother..the other was a 46 lamp 4 facial bed..their so called vhr bed..gave it away on craigslist for 750 ..it had like 2000 hrs..pretty awful design and just bulky steel beds..
the only beds i ever had to actually do repairs on...i do not recommend this junk..
