VICTORIA BECKHAM FAINTS FROM TAN FUMES
Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham fainted from toxic fumes during a tanning session -- after a clumsy beautician forgot to clean the spray gun's tubes properly.
Victoria, the wife of soccer superstar David Beckham, was clad in her underwear for her weekly tan when the mistake occurred.

And the error meant the 29-year-old singer -- who has since recovered -- was sprayed with chemicals but no color during the tanning session at her home in Hertfordshire, England.

An insider says, "Victoria was in her underwear and standing on a lot of old newspapers to prevent the color running on to the floor.

"But it appears the girl spraying on the tan hadn't checked her applicator properly and it meant the nozzle was partly clogged up.

"After two minutes there was a really nasty smell in the room and Victoria suddenly went weak at the knees and fell over.

"One of her legs was already brown where some of the tan had gone on, but the fumes went straight to her head and virtually knocked her out."

Knocking out a Spice Girl. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?

All kidding aside, this is why you need to do proper cleaning and maintenance on ALL your equipment whether you think its needed or not.

Smile Mystic Tan

I purchased a Mystic Tan booth last November and couldn't be happier with the results. After looking at and trying four different manufactures (air-brush) and booths, I pretty much settled on Mystic Tan. Even then I went to very salon that had a Mystic Tan in the eastern part of my state to talk to the owners. My experience and my clients experience using the Mystic Tan has been nothing but positive. But be ready to spend some money, they are not cheap. But remember, you get what you pay for!

Smile Clients perceptions of spray-on

Alan, thanks for posting the articles, I just finished reading the one about spray tanning. My Mystic Tan unit is really starting to bring in the clients looking for that health golden glow. But I have found it difficult to convince a lot of my UV clients to try the Mystic Tan. Their comments are all the same, It turns you orange! What's interesting is that when I ask them if they have ever used a booth everyone of them said no. They all used the airbrush, and everyone of them said it turned them orange. Is it the person applying the solution or is it the type of solution being used?

A tan turns orange because:

1. The solution DHA is too strong the user’s skin type.
2. To heavy an application.
3. Improper exfoliation.
4. Dry skin that absorbs the product to fast, to heavily.

Some people just get orange easier then others,

Some skin care products can also turn skin yellow or green.

I have seen deodorant turn peoples armspits green. Goes away though

Skin Ph is what causes it, and any pre sunless prep product will eliminate this problem.

I don't believe the story about the spice girl. I don't care how cloged the nozzles get this would have no effect on the mix of the solution coming out. Its not toxic in the first place. That story is a bunch of BS.

Try a "Double Dip"--a tanning bed with some lotion that contains DHA and then the Mystic--- kicks up the color and helps keep the Oompa Loompa's away.

On what planet is it okay to have a product that may or may not turn a client GREEN or YELLOW? Get a Mystic my friend...never once had a green client leave our salon. Promise.

Planet Earth-

Some deordorants will turn your skin green that have titainium dioxide in them.
Been to a mystic- I personally love them. I have made a fortune airbrushing over the streaks they leave.

Why don't you use some of the millions you made to buy solution that doesn't turn your clients green.

It's not the solution- its the other ingredients mixed in various skin care products that counter act.

So luckily I don't have to worry about it.

I'm in the tanning biz to make the world a healthier place (Everybody needs their managed amount of Vitamin D) I'm a real life philanthropist-- at least that's what I tell myself when I count the cash every night.

DHA is a food product. Hate to break it to ya, but the green you're spraying your clients with is mold.

Nobody is spaying green solution- at least at our salons.

Some chemicals can react differently and can effect the final color.
