Wondering if anyone esle has had problems with Philips lamps?
I relamped my three salons with Philips Cleo 100w and 100w R lamps. At about 250-300 hours they started burning out. Philips claims that it is a problem with the balasts, but that they are redesigning their lamps. Makes me wonder that if it is a problem with the balasts, then why are they redesigning their lamps? I have never had this problem with any other lamps. I am currently trying to get them to replace the lamps, but have had no real luck as of yet (geting the ole run around). They also told me that they should last 400 hrs. Doesn't seem like enough hours. Pretty embarassing when I'm having to change 6-10 lamps a day in each salon. |

I had a bad time with the Philips Advnatage 160 lamps in my stand up. Early burn outs. Really a shame.
Philips has been making lamps for decades. Usually one gets better with experience. Fortunately, there are other lamp manufacturers that you can rely on. |
