Talking Bogo

Buy one get one (free or 1/2 off)

Many times this is a great incentative for clients to purchase larger packages.

Would you do this on singles for new clients?

(wheeewwww, I got my ten posts in)

I do that one sometimes as well, but I do better with packages on BOGO...

Sometimes I run a buy 4 get 4 with a short expire date and that one does really well.

We offer buy 1 get 1 1/2 off on pkgs. I hand out business card sized coupons for buy 1 get 1 free for individual tans. Most people will buy a pkg after the first tan.

Default Huge Success

Our last BOGO ended 11/30. Huge success for this time of year. Our sales per person avg. for nov. = 22.39.

Now working on another angle

How short of a timeframe for the 8 tans? Do you offer this on all your beds?

All levels, 60 day expire period. This way they can come once a week and still have time to use them up.

5 visits 14 days
10 visits 30 days

Why would you spread the visits over a 2 months time frame? No way they can see any results over this long period of time. I guess these people just want to feel better and don`t care if they get any color at all. Just wondering w what your reasoning for this would be??

Frankie, this is not targeted at new clients really. And 99% of them use up the visits in 3 weeks or less. Just trying to keep them coming a bit longer at end of season with this one

If I was targeting new clients with this I would shorten the timespan

I don't expire sessions packages. You bought them, they're yours.

Jim,

On my regular packages there is no exp. date. BUT when I run a rediculously low ball sale, I want them to used up soon.

My BOBO on pkgs ends soon. I only run it around the holidays for gifts-Buy 1 give 1 as a gift. The coupons for only single tans are for new clients only. I run very few specials during spring. I may offer buy pkg get a couple free tans but they still pay regular price. That's around my bday to celebrate with my customers.
