E-mail Advertising - TanToday

Have you guys have done this ... How has it worked for you?? Also what Company have you used to do an e-mail blast to your Database? I'm starting to try get all Clients e-mails now that walk-in here now... But can't figure out how to extract them from Helios.... Any of you have Helios and know how to extract them from the Software??

They'll end up in the trash bin if you do mass mailing, trust me it's a waste of time. I know too many people that have done this and it hasn't paid off for any of them. Good Luck. I don't have Helios so I can't help Sorry.

We use www.constantcontact.com for email blasts. I find it works very well, very little investment.

Just make sure that you make your offers exciting and worthwhile, or you will have many opt out. And also don't over send. We normally send one a month, with specials only available to those on our email list.

You better have a heck of an eye catching deal in the header then because I, like MOST of AMerica, just trash the mass mailings without even opening them.

We ask our clients for their emails and let them know that we send Email Only coupons or specials with every mailing.
That is for just the reason stated, junking spam,.
I send out my own Emails about once a month and keep a close watch on "bad addresses".
I have discoveried a few clowns that continue to give my employees fake Email just for the fun of it.

It works in generating a little interest, gives me a chance to let them know about changes and upgrades to the salon and pound home the "wear goggles" message.

Are you on version 11.4 ???

Get back office installed if you already haven't.

It's FREE with the program.

You can easily use this to extract e-mail or any other info you desire.

other option is to use MS ACCESS, but...................

use caution if you're not familiar. would not want you to hurt the main DB files

better to get the BackOffice installed.

then you could actually do the extraction ANYWHERE there's an internet connection, i.e. your house ???

I love email, it almost free and if done properly quite effect. But like salon software, it takes some work, learning, and practise on your part. IMO, well worth the effort.
