Thanks Justtan.....but had another thought, what about having the coupon books at the counter and selling them for 5.00? Or would that defeat the purpose? For 5.00 they would get all sorts of deals (and prolly never use half of them) so you as the owner would still make some money off them.

I was thinking the same thing, and here is what I came up with. I'm having an "event" on December 1st so I think I will give them to whoever comes to that for free. Then after that I will sell them for $5 until the end of January to whoever wants them.

If a customer was to use every coupon in my book and buy the big packages or lotions with it, then it would be over $150 in savings. So I figure if I say it like that to customers, $5 is a small price to pay. I'll sell them after January too, people just might not want to buy if they are missing a month or something lol.

Sorry it took a while to respond back. I normally do my own and have them printed and bound by the local printer. It really does work well and helps you to set a marketing calendar...I think selling them after the Holidays would be a great idea too! If someone wants to know your specials...say "well if you purchase this coupon book for $5 you will save X amount when you use that coupon for this month...sounds like a winner to me..
Let's share the monthly deals we will be putting in the coupon book so that everyone can get brainstorm and we all can improve our books!!

Jan - With every monthly package purchased receive 4 FREE upgrades.

Feb - FREE Premium bottle of Lotion with every Sun Club!

March - Buy One Get One FREE!

April - FREE

Ok that is where I am so far...more ideas????

Jones, I would rearrange those months. March is one of the busiest months so why give away when you don't have to. Try that one in Sept or other slow months. Maybe do the lotions deal during the busier months to get those sales going when they're already buying packages.

Sandi,
You're correct...I was thinking of my FTW. How about everyone think of 12 promotions. 4 including tanning, 4 gift with purchase, 4 including other services...then get 4 bonus items to add to your coupon book...which would be 4 other business close to yours that would let you put their offer in the back of your coupon book as a bonus that would cost you nothing. After we have compiled 12 good offers we can then decide on the best month of the year to use them.
Anyone else have an offer that worked for them?

I worked on mine today a little. Jotting down ideas for each month.

Yours looks great but I am for sure going to sell mine. Especially if I end up having my printer do them. He said he could do 100 of them for 125.00 with binding and everything.

Wow Meg when I saw what you were planning I was scared for you -- lot of DIY work = lot of chances for the cheez factor to rise... but that looks cute.

Is the bronze ribbon for tanning truth awareness?!?!!? hahaha we SHOULD have a ribbon for that.

MShot...
Do not pay a penny for the printing and binding. WOrk a deal with the printer to add them to your book as FREE ADVERTISING for them....my printer does it for free...he gets the back cover and does his own design and offer on the back...Work a deal so that it doesnt cost you a penny!
