With my luck, everyone would get them as they came in the door and were going to spend anyway.

Well it wouldn't have to be a big thing, just like "free upgrade" or "buy a month, get a week" or "free packette with a walk in."

Even blurbs about UV, or a free song download link, or a cute quote... why not. just a time waster, make you seem cool.

When cell phones were new there was a service that you would tell them 3 things about yourself and they would call you at certain times and ask you about them... so you could have public cell conversations & seem important and interesting, and less like a total loser with no friends to phone you...

When you got some people to call you, did you stop using this service?

Oh yes, never thought of that. Do they text numbers you give them or demographics?

I am revisiting this thread because I think I may try it out. It is a fully opt in service and from what I can see runs about 40-50 per month give or take.

They will give you a link on your website that will capture their number and add to the database. I am waiting for a few companies to get back to me with details. I'll post later. It's a pretty current way of doing business.

At 1st its $30 a month (per location) then when u get to 100 numbers its $50. Never goes higher than $50.

as far as the coupon goes...the text is the coupon
u also get promotional stuff to advertise whe you sign up...posters sign ups sheets,a sign up box for websites and]or myspace
to send the text is like sending a email
the person can opt out anytime
you have to send it to everyone on the list
you get a keyword which is what members text to 411-669 to sign up
i give a free tan or upgrade just for signing up, you can customize the offer to your liking

autumns been emailing me updates about my club every monday since october. shes literally a phonecall away at anytime.

hans is great too!

So with them the monthly rate doesn't go over $50. I was quoted $49 monthly from Blue Fish mobile and that was for 500 per month then it goes up from there. I thought about this before and when I read your article CTM, it sparked it again for me.

I will call your people tomorrow. Do you see a decent return from it? I think it would be a progressive way to go. There is a swank bar near me that does it also, I'll have to ask the owner (friend of mine) to see his response rate.

Just heard back from her. First she quoted a much higher number, but then after emailing back she told me of the single salon rate capped at $50

I think I will go with them over bluefishmobile as their rates went up really high.

The cap is nice to have.
Then you always know exactly how much you are being charged.
