the way I set my email system up is this. as soon as they sign up for my mailing list, a verification email is sent. if I don't get a response back, then i know its a junk email. problem is solved for the most part unless an account gets deleted

The entire idea doesn't make sense.

Is everyone losing their minds? Just jump on anything without researching at all? They spend money to advertise on Google in ads that are NOTHING BUT JUNK SPAM SITES.

People go out of their way TO AVIOD THESE ADS and for some reason they will click on a TANNING SEARCH ENGINE AD when they can in the same time type in TANNING plus ZIP CODE and get every salon in the area.

I don't claim to be the best at anything but this is so amatuer that the most amatuer internet marketer can see this not working. It's just not that well thought out. Just $3 a coupon and the thought process ends.

Saddens me really.

I tried it for a couple of months. There were only about 10 coupons printed and only 1 redeemed. I think about 4 of them were bad email addressess, they did not charge me for the bad email addresses. I still cancelled because it just didnt seem like it was going to be worth it.

had 20 coupons printed and not 1 was brought in. Lots of duplicate emails, spam as well. Canceled within 3 weeks.

I emailed them and someone called me back to ask why I wanted to cancel. I didnt have any problems canceling.

MiamiTans they don't charge you for duplicate emails. It could actually benefit you if someone downloaded one for a friend that would be a freebie for you.

They dont charge you but you have to take time out of your day to figure out who is a duplicate and whose not. I dont know about you but i dont have time for that

That makes sense. I had an existing customer (I recognized her email address/name) download a coupon. She called that day and made an appointment for a spray tan. I asked her if she visited the site and she said yes she couldn't remember the exact name of our salon and that came up first so she checked and got our phone number. Well I can look at that a few ways. I'll take is as my client found us quicker and I got $50 for the appointment plus tip. The tip more then covered the $3 lost.

My client base is a voluntary email sign up. She was NOT on my email signup list so I would NEVER spam a client. I get livid about spammers and have studied their history in an Internet class covering law. Yes it's how I knew about the person we don't like to mention here but it's being taught in college internet law classes.
Anyway her name was part of her email address and because I know most of my clients by name I recognized her immediately.

We have had great luck with the site.

averaging 40% return rate.

Most come approximately 7-10 days after receiving their coupon.

$36 a month is pretty minor to have your name out their each time the zip code is searched.

Positive experiences lead to many referrals.
