These guys eh? I chatted with em...we got into a fight....will not be doing business with them.
One question, why would you use a search engine that has less listed salons than Google?

The most hits and responses i get is from my website.
Comes up on the first page when you do a search in my city for tanning salons. Key words and design are important. I get about 30+ unique hits a day on my website which generates me a lot of new customers. 90% of the new customers that found my website are from google searches. (based on my tracker) The other 10% is a direct hit to my website, usually from people just typing my salon name in and .com to test it out and see if it exists or by referral from a friend or from my business cards listing my website on it or all my direct mail postcards i send out with my website on it. And for a cheap rate to host like $5/month, it's the best investment that generates me the most leads. I had yellow pages come in and say they will put me on their website and in the book and showed me the amount of hits on their website for tanning salons in my area for the month. Then i pulled my report in front of them and printed it out. I had 200 more hits on my website that month than they did for "tanning salons" in general. So i proved to them that my site is worth more than paying you to get less results. I then asked them if they wanted to pay me to advertise yellow pages on my website as i get more hits than their site and that i'd offer them a good rate, better than what they were offering me for poorer results. They didn't go for it. It would have been a good investment for them.

Tried it, cancelled it within a month. If someone, a spammer, wants to raise havoc with your account they can get charges on your account. You have to give them a credit card, so they can charge you. I had a couple of charges that weren't legit and they would not credit back to my credit card. Never again.

They sell it by telling you they are listed on Google...another search engine. Why would you go to a search engine to get to another search engine at a premium?

It doesn't even make sense to pay for something like that...If you were a customer looking for a salon in your area, wouldn't you just google "tanning salons _______"? Just MHO

i'm a salon owner for years and didn't even know that existed. How's a customer going to know?
Everyone just googles "Tanning Salons {City}" and that's about it.

I tried for a couple of months, we paid a total of $60.00 (first $18, second$42) and we receive 1 person in that time with the coupon, 3rd. mo. I cancelled.
Have Yelp hit in your city already? Is been good for us. |

I don’t like it either; I believe that they control which reviews stay and which ones go. I have a lot of people coming from them, I don’t like it but the people around here they do.
I also heard that it didn’t work very well in NY, I guess depends on the City were you live. |

yeah we just signed up and haven't had anyone come in, but had some charges so far. They we're supposed to give us some free ones, but looks like they were lying

I have sent them several emails but seem to get no response. I had one person use a coupon and last month alone I was charged 18.00. I had alot more hits in Feb. I can`t wait to see what I get charged. No more after tomorrow.

I have had 42 coupons downloaded, one redeemed. I sent out a mass email to the people that downloaded coupons and about 10 came back as non existant email addresses. Planning on canceling this month.

For $3 a pop a customer should get a name and a address along with the e mail. The problem is that the people that own the web site were not getting as many returns from consumers with all that info needed so they cut back to just the e mail. As you can see by the responses above you would probably get more people signing up if the business owner could get this kind of info. |

I am still using them. This month my charges were $42. My problems are different then the other complaints here. I have serious issues with their TOS and plan on calling them when I get time. I was told you could just call to cancel anytime. Now I can't go in to edit my coupons unless I agree to their TOS that were not there when I signed up. There is no way I'm agreeing to them so I will probably cancel BY PHONE as per our verbal agreement. I have no time for snail mail.
BTW part of their TOS is that you can't discuss their TOS! Well I can because I haven't agreed to them. ![]()
