Has anyone offered a "tanning starter package" which would include a session package, a bottle of lotion and pair of goggles? What would be a good session count for a package like this - I think 15 sessions would be good since the client would tan more often at first and then tapper between visits once the clent gets a base tan - I would have the opportunity for upgrades at that point to upsell. Currently I offer 15 sessions for $65, and I carry Everyday Shorts, I would offer something from the ThreVo line (retail $30 max)(less than $10 my cost) in this package and would include a pair of oogles. I am marketing directly to the spring breakers/cruisers that tan only for those occasions. I cater to several colleges and universities as well as business professionals. What type of price point should I be considering? I don't want to over price it but I want to profit from it.

they would only need about 5-6 tans....not 15.
Keep the bundle price at $99 or less. Price it at $69..

I do an intro pak----
2 sessions in level 1 2 sessions in level 2 and 2 sessions in level 3 for $30. It gives me the opportunity to explain each bed. I do not give them any lotion, I tell them that they do need to buy the lotion. 9x outta 10 people sign on for an unlimited monthly package after that. I know this sounds cheap, but they can only get the intro pak once and it keeps them coming back. |

i've done this sort of thing too, but have found you often then, limit their lotion purchase to a lower priced one instead of possibly upselling them into a $50 lotion or more...also it tends to only cater to your base units..."cheap is as cheap does"

If it was about the intro pak, well yes, people don't go and spend a ton of money right at first. But it deff. pays off in the end. |

I used to do our salon tour. It was a session in each piece of equiment with or without Mystic and a bottle of cheap lotion for $59.95 to get them started. They could trade up on lotion if they wanted to
