Fall Marketing Ideas - TanToday

What is everyone planning for the fall, Okay I forget some of you are already into fall and thinking winter, but I'm in Florida its still 90 here.

We have our homecoming parties for two local high schools already underway. These are generating alot of extra income and bringing in new tanners.
For late October we are running a promotion for Halloween, Dont be ghostly white tan with us tonight....Halloween week we are offering free tans for all customers with coupon and candy and treats for the trick or treaters.
Give me more ideas..Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.

That's definately a cute idea! Maybe you could do some sort of promo like... come in with your haloween costume and get 1/2 price tans! Dunno just a thought lol.

one year we went all out for Halloween with month unlimited pkgs for $31.31 and lotion discounts for 13% off. we also decorated the whole salon and dedicated an empty room (just so happened it was room #13)

and went to town with the spider webs etc. then on halloween day, (we had promoted this a few weeks prior) we had a "balloon pop" . the room was filled with black balloons and every customer that came into the salon on halloween day got to pop a balloon and win whatever prize was inside. some won a free tans for certain beds or $off lotions and we even had a few 31% off certain packages that were to be purchased that day. it was so much fun! not to mention the extra boost of revenue right at the end of the month.

for my girls i had a sales contest going - "the pumpkin patch"
they were given sales goals according to how many hours they were scheduled to work and whoever got their pumpkin to roll the farthest across the pumpkin patch got a great prize! i think we had prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. they had a blast and were always checking out where their pumpkin was.

Very creative ideas!

I run a special halloween comercial every year and promote a "Treat" to our clients - Purchase one tan at regular price in any one of our systems and purchase as many tans as they want in our regular (stage 1) 20 minute beds for $1.99 each until the end of the year! Since one tan is $6 in our stage one 20 minute beds they really like to take advantage of the $1.99 tans and it usually generates a minimum of $24 per month October, November, and December from each participant (same price as our monthly EFT membership) plus brings them in all during the holidays so we can make additional lotion and gift card sales

Those are good ideas...they will come in handy when I take over my parents salon in August 2006.
