Hi, I just bought a tanning salon and just time time to fill out the 2009 Declaration of Personal Property. I am trying to get prices on our beds values. Is there a web site that can give us an idea on what the current value is of used tanning beds? Thanks.

You should post your info, let every body chime in, If you go to high just $$$ out of your pocket. Used beds are not worth much, compared to new, and the market is a buyers market right now.

What are the hours on these units and when were the lamps replaced? Have any of the major components been replaced? Do you have years for the other units?
These answers will assist in price analysis |

The "declaration"; Is this needed in order for the city/county to access a tax? If so, they need the know what you paid for your business and what your starting value for depreciation will be. There's no blue sky in this business, so most likely what you paid is your starting number. You don't need exact numbers, just estimates for your different catagories. If it were I, I'd give them lowball numbers. We pay enough tax, without them taxing our vehicle with which we use to make our income, which they tax again.
