I agree call a broker and they will give this for you for free. Mailing counts and everything they are very helpful. If anyone needs to know who to call in there area let me know. But a national company like CBRE is in all markets call them and they can help you no cost out of pocket or a sales pitch.

Actually, there is no sales pitch when you request demographic reports of floor plans from my company. I have a custom tanning salon demographic report as well as a detail report if requested. This is just a free service I provide to make an effort to help. In most cases my report does not show the same information that a report from a broker shows. I am not trying to lease the space so my report is current from Demographics Now, the most current accurate reporting service available. I specialize in Tanning Salons therefore my information is geared toward tanning salons. Danggirl I do appreciate you trying to save the unsuspecting salon owners and potential owners from me and my wicked company.

one of the first steps for opening a new salon or purchasing an existing salon is looking at demographics

Send me an email with the address of the location you are interested in. Because a tanning salon will pull the majority of it's business from a 3 mile radius a specific center point is necessary.

Since you won't be pitching TA equipment Steve, would you mind if I just sent you some towns and zip codes to run reports for me?

George tanning salons draw from a three mile radius. In order to get an accurate report you must have a center point. A town or zip code would not be effective for evaluating a location, however George you should know this, I am not surprised that you obviously don't. If you have a specific client that you are unable to properly assist and they need a report by all means please send me the address and I will pull a report for them. If they want to learn how to open a profitable salon you can just have them contact me direct.

I appreciate the offer and sarcasm Steve. I would expect nothing less from you. I think I'll stick to helping people open very successful salons with the best equipment myself. I've been doing fine without your "help" for 10 years now. Good luck.

Just trying to help George, you said you needed demographic reports I explained how to properly request them. As I said I am happy to assist your clients. However if someone needs help from Prosun I would send them to Jennifer Doing, she is very qualified and has been in this industry for more than 10 years.

Boys, boys, boys......... MEOW!

Man - this is worse than my school-age sons!

"ok, you are BOTH the most manliest - now cut it out"

While Jennifer is quite good, I hear very good things about George as well. As two qualified professionals in our industry, let's leave this one as "agree to disagree" perhaps gentlemen?

This is quite humorous, You tell em Ann.

I was quite happy with my prosun reps to to lead me in the right direction as well. Maybe ProSun has people that care about the longevity of the salon and not just the short run.

I provide reports to everyone that request the information. If your needs are more extensive, my services are the most extensive in the industry.

I am sure by now you have read on these forums that you can get a demographic report anywhere and you can draw your own floor plan. The reality is that demographic reports are very important to choosing a good location and determining your income potential. Drawing a floor plan that best utilizes your space can also be difficult. With no obligation for anything I am happy to provide the services free just for the asking.

The first steps for evaluating a location is looking at a demographic report and drawing a floor plan based on available space. I am happy to help.

How you structure your salon should be determined in part on the area demographics.
