Default 1 Month Unlimited

Is it common to offer 1 Month Unlimited? In Huntington Beach,CA there are quite a few salons that offer this type of package without a contract.

Just make sure its not at the same price people are offering EFT prices, one month with no contract is usually starting off at $40-$50 on the low end

Is it worth keeping prices low on your first year open?

To bring in new clients, I was under the impression the first year the hardest.

People will come to a new salon because it is new. No reason to the be the cheapest along with it. You should have specials for the new clients only and maybe a grand opening special but that is it. Be competitive in pricing. Dont play the price war game. If you have great equipment, quality staff, clean facilities, you shouldnt be the cheapest. Remember, being the lowest doesnt guarantee clients. Keep your staff well trained and keep the place clean. Change your lamps often. If you do that, and keep your prices up, you will make it.

Queenie, you always give good info, or .... rip them up when they are 2piud.

(For the newbies)
Another thing when offering unlimited on base beds is try to upgrade them several times a month to the larger units

It's becoming more and more common to offer everything for free in the tanning biz.

There are ways to offer things free and not kill your bottom line...

If I can make it past the first year, I know I'll be successfull. Opening in April didn't help my cause much.
