Our focus is on selling advertising and on postivie tanning material. I am listening to what you are saying, but there has to be a balance of foucs between advertising and content. It would be killing myself if I soley concentrated on one of them.

Chris and I own many sites that all make very good money, we know what we are doing when it comes to websites, content, and advertising. We are just offering suggestions and letting you know what we have to offer. Hence my statement about the directory.

LOL...suntanning, it would do you well to slap a smilie on the end of some of your sentences when it could be misconstrued!

My friends and I have this policy that you can text each other the nastiest/meanest things, but its ok if it has a winky face on it.

Im seriosuly beginning to wonder how many times the people in this forum have gotten screwed over?

I'm a very upbeat happy person and I thirve when interacting verbally and physically.

If I am anything other than serious i usually use a sarcastic smilie.

And i was serious that was very helpful, thanks, and bondjuls thanks for understanding what Im trying to do.

Thanks,

Joel (<--smilie via bondjuls request) LOL

Girls tanning - That seems to be a google ad, but i have no clue where it goes, not allowed to click your own google ads.

PLEASE delete your post, i do not what you giving the site a bad rep

Hello Joel,

Just wanted to make clear to you what this forum is for that you are advertising on. This is a tanning forum where SALON OWNERS and people in the industry come to talk and discuss business. We don't sugar coat what we have to say. Because you are a paying sponsor of this site, doesn't mean we will hold back comments on your product or service you have to provide. If you get bad comments, it's cuz people had bad experience with your product or service.

I visited your site, clicked on the links at the top which look like it's part of your site and it took me to diversion websites. On the right hand side of your website, it's completely covered with links that are tanning related. EVERY LINK takes you to diversion websites where they sell lotions below wholesale to the public and bypass salons.

I clicked everywhere on your site and got disgusted. I have since gone back and visited again. It still looks the same. I browsed around and found at the bottom in small letters links to YOUR actual site and pages. Usually as a browser of the internet, i don't scroll to the bottom of a website to find a link or information, it should be right in front of me. May i suggest putting your google links at the bottom where nobody looks instead of the information you are trying to get across.

One last thing. If you are going to represent the tanning industry....ELIMINATE any and ALL GOOGLE links that have anything to do with tanning. They will only hurt you. there are MORE bad tanning sites out there than actual good. You will be linked to all the bad ones and you WILL get negative feedback.

YOU WILL continue to get comments like mine.....until you get rid of google ads.

Until then, i don't see you getting much support as a serious person trying to help out the industry but only a person trying to make a buck and cash in on another opportunity.

The only reason you are putting google links on there is to make money.

If you wanted to make a website to display and put articles of truth and scientific research on there, it would cost you approx $8/month. I know cuz that's what i pay for my hosting.

Your advertisers and private label manufacturers and bed manufac. that will pay for advertising is how you will make money....not google ads. Not in a professional market.

Good luck to you if you are serious about helping the industry.....

Oh yeah, may i also suggest you include CANADA in any search and salon finder.

Incorrect, I don't know what browser you are on but on the right hand side all the links are the same as on the bottom they link to internal pages.

Yea, Ofcourse, I bought this site to make money and that reason alone, but now that I have it this seems like a great community and I don't like the bad publicity so I'm jumping in and using my resources that I have to help with what I can, There is no way I can just drop 100% of the sites revenue just to please a few people. That would put me behind and would be the most idiotic thing to do financially.

Yea, we are, definally going to write up some articles that are positive about tanning just so its out there on my site

After the site is paid back via google ads and paid directory spots we will be expiermenting with taking google ads off and trying to get other advertisers.

Another question

There seems to be a lot of tanning salons for sale. Is there a trend that explains this?

::if this is the wrong place to post please move it::
I specialize in evaluating existing salons and determining the steps required to maximize potential income. It really should be approached much like opening a new salon. Please give me a call or send me an email and I will send you a questionnaire that will allow me to evaluate your new salon.

Stephen, Do you offer services such as "holding someones hand" while they jump into the tanning biz? Ofcourse there would be some fees involved for your time, just wondering if that something you do.

Steve, this isn't about buying or opening a salon. Read the whole thread, it is about a website designed to provide consumers with salon locations and in the long term provide info about tanning.

Actually Brian it was about buying a salon ....but it turned into his website...

But it seems when someone like Steve who has the knowledge to offer to him and help him be successful and he's turning it into a joke instead of taking his advice.

Not laying into you....just sounded like a sarcastic reply to someone offering true advice and help. It didn't sound like you've spoken to Steve from yours or his replies. Steve is someone that can truely help you out and make you successful.

He knows his stuff.
