Ibed, if the filters block most of the heat in the S-class facials, I can't imagine what they would feel like if they didn't. The facial in the S-class make your face feel like it is going to melt after about 2 minutes in the bed. They are the hottest facial I have ever used in a bed.

Elite, the Magic for at least the last couple of years has 2000
watt facials. I don't know when they changed to the new facials.

I would rate Future/Dr. Mueller as probably .....

#1. Future/Dr Mueller
#2. UWE
#3. KBL
#4. Ergoline
#5. Sportareddo
#6.

#88. ETS
#89. I will make you a tanning bed in my garage.
#90. Prosun

With some other in between.......like Tanses, Royal Sun, etc.....too long to list, but you get the idea of where they place.

OH...and this isn't for High Pressure beds....just VHR's.

Some people just don't like it too hot on their face. If some of your other clients are also saying that there's too much heat coming off those facials, chances are their filters are just not blocking enough heat off those bulbs. Yeah it's funny bc I looked @ that Magic back when I was considering opening my own store and some1 had told me the same thing. I never got a chance to look into the electrical layout of the unit though. Do they have ballasts to support the 1000w facials.

Megan,
Just a thought.

If you do only womens' clothing in the front of your store then you will not attract the male demographic (unless they like to dress up, like the guy, I think, that was just here. HAHAHAHAHA).

The male demographic is potentially the largest growth area in the tanning industry.

Perhaps think about adding gear for guys and promote it. This will make the guys a lot more comfortable in entering your store.

Get big beds and stand ups and promote the sh!t out of the " tan in no time flat", or "lunch break tan"

Just thoughts.

Hey good idea Darkstar. I appreciate the whole "mens clothes" idea because I honestly had not thought about that. I could do mens swimming gear and khaki shorts and maybe some polos or something. Thanks a lot!

Depends on your area......

My clent base is 80% Women and 20% Men.....

I wouldn't want to try and get more men in here...cuz women are the ones that are more self conscious of their looks and spend money on their appearance than men. SO you'd want to attract more women.

By attracting more women.....the men will come !!!

My friend opened a SPA for Guys only and had to start accepting women like 1 month later or would have lost his business.....WHY? Cuz women spend the money at spas and salons...not men. Now he's doing well and promoting more for women.

Put pictures of guys in your advertising to get the women coming in....and the guys will also come.

Guys don't spend on lotions...they think it's for girls...they are usually harder sells. Unless they are new to the tanning thing...then they'll buy whatever you tell them. If they've been tanning for a while...guys don't spend time on putting on lotions. So try and keep the women happy.

I have Soltron beds and they have been doing great for me!!!

I spent over $170,000 on equipment. I also have a local rep that always comes by when there is a problem.

I have a xl-Shark and I charge $35.00 for a walk in and they go for it.

Wow, it seems if you just spend the $1500 to buy a banner here you can do anything and say anything you want about your equipment. It also seems you move right up to the top of Din's "Top 100" equipment list. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

what is this about rights? I thought this was a forum...u know open discussions? I dont know what you're talking about but I didnt spend any $ to come here. Sorry. Megan asked for opinions and I gave her mine. That's all! If you dont agree with it, that's fine. That's YOUR opinion. You dont have to go bashing people for their thoughts. That's not very nice.

What are you talking about Ibed?? Where did I bash anyone's "thoughts" or "opinions"?? Have you seen the PC banner yet? I know you didn't pay for it yourself. PC Mkt. did.

There was a shot in my reply, it was not directed at you though. Chill....
