I hand run them also. I just started a month ago so it hasn't been a problem yet. I figure a little cramp in my hand is worth the money saved from using a company, especially since i dont have alot right now anyway.

I think I'm willing to take the hand cramp.

Right now we do a multi-month plan, similiar to EFT. But the cash is upfront. We do 3,6, or 12 months package. But it would be nicer to space that, as opposed to a one time. Plus its a lock in like posted before. You know the person's coming back, and not taking 4 month break.

Thanx for all the input

Do you tend to find a majority of your customers go for EFT to save a few bucks ?

Guaranteed money's cool and all. But then again, I enjoy those full price payers.

EFT is nice, but the past 2 days everyone tanning is on it and they already have lotion so sales have been a few packettes of lotion here and there and a few upgrades. That is the downfall of EFT and monthly packages.

For those of you doing EFT in-house/by hand/manually...

Anyone use Suntouch SW for this?

Anyone have suggestions on how to set up packages and record payments for this type of processing in SuntouchPlus?

Should I try to use some of the EFT functionality in STPlus, or should I just ring up a new EFT Month Unlimited Package every month on the first for every EFT customer? (make sense?!)

I just ring up a unlimited package for the customer every time i run their credit card through. I dont know if there is an easier way to do it. And I only have a few EFT's right now so it hasn't been a big problem. It will prob be a pain once I get more though.

I guess that's what I'll do, too. I'll have to make the EFT month unlimited packages 31 days long so there's no gap between EFT Months on the longer months. On the shorter months there will actually be an overlap but that won't matter.

Do either of you store credit card info in the computer if you bill by hand, or do you just go through the stack of signup forms you have?

I made a spreadsheet in excel with the info on it. I also have it stored in suntouch too, and I print the spreadsheet out and put it in the safe every time someone new signs up. I always have computer problems so I like having backups and I put it in the safe so I can tell the customers that their info is secure. Their forms are also in a locked filing cabinet. Also, make sure your employees can't get to the numbers in the comp. Not like they will do anything, but that way you can assure your customers that their info is as safe as you can make it.

Some customers like that I don't do it through a company so there is no 3rd party. Others I tell them I do it through a company so they make sure they give notice, pay fees, etc.
