| I am getting ready to open soon and need a manager. Right now I am offering a salary of $450 per week + Commission & Bonus plan. At this time, I have no one interested. People apply, then never commit to an interview. Am I not offering enough salary? I am in central Florida and it's not an overly high income area like Miami or something. ![]() Anyone have recommendations or can tell me what they offer their manager when they first started? - thanks!! |

Will you be a hands on owner...(working their yourself) and if so how many hours per week? 3.) If your answer to #1 is yes...and #2 No, then why? Basically saying....if this is your first place why are you not managing it? Could be simple answer like you have another job... I have always looked at it like this. If a manager is going to do what I consider a managers job is....They need to make a living at it. Pretty hard to live on anything less than $2500-$3000 / month. RonnieT. myspace/racetan |

I also plan on opening 2 more tanning salons later this year for a total of 3. The franchisor is helping with salary ideas and I have a 6 page document that describes what is required of the manager. I just wanted to get some other opinions from people already in the business. |

Must have commission! __________________ www.baskinthesuntanning.com www.myspace.com/baskinthesuntanning 2007 Best Of CitySearch Award 2008 Best Of CitySearch Award 2008 Best Of Portland Tanning Salons February 2007 Portland PIX Magazine August 2007 PDX Magazine May 2008 Oregonian Newspaper Fall 2008 Gorgeous Portland Magazine |

Manager salary for $450 a week wouldnt need any perks but will be hard to find qualified talent for that spot. Grooming somone for the postion will also be hard. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 1999........................ "One of the 'ORIGINAL' TanToday Gang" |

Use a quarterly bonus system instead (but only for the manager). Then implement a yearly bonus for all employees (over 6 months). Have the amount increase based upon months employed. __________________ "We are what we repeatedly do.
