| At the salon I will be purchasing there are some older beds – no brand names off the top of my head right now. Anyway – she has them max 15 mins. How do I tell what the max really is? I think I can up that to 20 and raise the session price. They are very similar to the salon I worked at and the max was 20 mins. Opinions? I think one is a genesis… thanks

I say, our lamps are better than theirs, therefore you can only do 15. That seems to work. Its the way the old owner had it and it would cause too much confusion if I tried to switch it. I have stupid customers. |

The same beds sometimes come in diff. config. i.e. sundash's 10,15,20 min. diff. chip and lamp. Ultrasun solarwind looks the same, one has 100 watt ballast's the other 160 watt. write down every make and model (look at the sticker for lamps and min.) along with what type of lamps, and I am sure this site could provide more insite. mgj |

You need a 7.0 meter to know.... but I doubt if you care enough to get one. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ I asked customers if they would like 15 minute beds to compliment our current 20 minute and 10 minute setup.. and they went nuts for the idea. Then there are the idiots that stoll in "Ya'll have 20 minute beds?" Yes. "Well the XXXX down the street has 30 minute beds." Well, if you choose to lay there for 30 minutes then have fun. But really, if your "20"/"15" minute bed's lamps are truly meant to perform their best during a 20 minute session, it's a disservice. And financially speaking, your 20 minute beds should give the least best result.. you more expensive and shorter session units should give the best results. Not all levels should be equal - that is why we call them levels! We have basic, middle and vhor; and there is HP but I put that in its own class. Basic $8 session (midday sun lamps), middle $10 (beach sun lamps), vhor $13 or $14 for facials (signature series). HP is 35. __________________ There are only two certainties in life: taxes & death. |

| Moderator | Longer sessions mean less people to see each day. Less people means less money. Even if you raise the price. Ex: 15 min session are $5. You can see 3.5 people per hour (given cleaning and dressing time) = $17.50 per hour 20 min session are $6. You can see 2.5 peole per hour (given cleaning and dressing time = $15.00 per hour Which makes more sense? __________________ |

Also write down some other info and post as well...like number of lamps per unit and so on... RonnieT. |

I know the area, do you know whom you are competing against ?? Cal Sun Hollywood Tans and now... Planet Fitness Your chances to survive are slim -- no matter how low the purchase price. |

Calling someone who sells them would be an idea. __________________ ************************************************** ***************** Grammar Tip of the Year - Apostrophes are for condensing and belonging...NOT pluralizing. ![]() SandiGirl ~ Changing tanning forums one apostrophe at a time. |
