| Moderator | Oh I agree with that! I WAS an all stand up salon (took over an existing Suncapsule franchise, but didnt keep thier name) and I needed the bed added. If I had stayed in business, I would have moved to a bigger location and added more beds. No brainer. __________________ |

Hell my demographic income is $20,000 per year, thats it, and i rock the place with HP units 3 of them and I don't sell it cheap. Unless I miss read, they said like over $100,000 per household income? THIS is NOT a base bed town. I'd bet there just itching for some upscale salon to open with some big ass nice equipment! If we make HP work in a below poverty income town, that person should be able to rock! Depending on their competition. Most of the salons in my area that have closed has been because of their pricing structure and cleanliness, how well they maintain their salon. If they did things better, they prob would not have closed. I opened my third salon in that exact setting. went in with HP unit and VHR's, previous all base bed salon, and its doing great! |

It often takes 4 years of being in business before you make a profit. this is another reason salons close. they have no other income except for their salon, so can't survive. THis is usualy quite acurate for new salons who have owners who are new to tanning, now for your second and third and so on, now that you know what your doing and what works, it makes it much easier to proffit |

Once you nail it and get it going..you'll be fine. BUT...the trial and error is something you have to learn for yourself. That's on everything from HOW to sell your tans, Sales pitches, the correct bed mix for your area, marketing (what works for you and what doesn't) etc... Good luck __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity.
