| Rookie Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Armpit of California Posts: 29 | I was just looking at an add on Craigslist for some beds in San Diego...I can tell by the photo the bed is Tan America...when I spoke to the guy he said he also has some others...HT 42, HT 54, HT 60... repo'd from a Hollywood Tan Franchise. Is this like some sort of private label for the Hollywood Tan Franchise? If so does anyone know what models these might be for Tan America? Also, he said he cannot find the hours...where might that info be located on the machine? I am such a newbie...be kind! |

| Moderator | HT booths are crap. Anyone remember Armando's Tanning in PA? He dressed like Elvis for his ads and was the "King Of Tanning"? Some vets would, he was featured a few times in the mags. Anyway, he thought it was better to get the HT booth vs the Suncapsule to save a few bucks. Not only did it barely tan anyone and had no air flow, the freakin panels ened up falling in on someone while tanning! Really poorly made! He ended up getting the Sun Cap. ![]() __________________ |

He was a funny guy. But then again, I havent talked to her in a few months, so things may have changed. __________________ |

I'm sure they opened up all around him after he bought them. They were available to the public when they first started making them. I remember seeing their ad in one of the tanning mags. That didn't last long when people realized what shit they were. Same thing happed with their spray tan shit box. They fooled Heartland, 4 Seasons, Pro Sun and even Miracle Sun into selling those shit boxes. Then years later HT had Mystic retro fit them to the MyMyst system, for a small charge. |

| Moderator | He only had the one and then quickly replaced it with the Suncap. We really didnt get the HT franchises in here til about 5-8 years ago. He had a good niche. Owned the building, had 2 floors, opened the upper floor during busy season and closed it up in the off time. He was a good guy but had some crappy equipment and staff. I wish him well in his final years. __________________ |
