| ... Brother. Holy Toledo! The fattest most heavy tanning mag ever just arrived in my mailbox. Half-inch thick... while the others have shrunk to near paper thin. Who woulda thunk back in 1998? Congrats to Vince and Ribby - plus the other staff. Glad my ad (pg 323) was part of this collector issue. I just wish you guys would someday learn how to spell our name in the Ad Index pg 334. It is Solartech not Solar Tech. Anyway... great job on the 2008 buyers guide issue!

Best part to me is every bottle of lotion listed has its scent! Now we will know what they ALL smell like! If I had my way tough, I would only list suggested retail price of bottles and forget about salon pricing. Everybody( in the industry) knows salon cost is half and then some, Just leave it out so we can let our customers check it out as well! I would be able to sell more lotion special order( and have to stock less) if I could show it around, but I always have to hide it from the customer so they cant see the prices. Hell, I dont even want them to think i buy it at salon cost, never mind what my discount is..theres always next year! Other than that though, Great job! |

I do appreciate the list of products and their features, that is cool but I have other catalogs that do that already. I'm excited to have a seemingly thriving magazine for the industry. It does seems fluffy to me however. I'd like to see statistical trends, top 3 best sellers list from each manufacturer (not just what they want to push), new exciting item feature (not paid for the spot or because they bought an advertisement), 3 products all salons should have on the counter, unique display contests, email in your questions section that are answered by other salon owners or at least someone not selling me anything. Best compact vacuum, towel comparisons, best display unit or best rack (like a lotion rack people) or a "I wish I would have done this before section". Although I have alot of things on my wish list, I always have 2 or three pages dog eared to contemplate after reading through this mag. Last edited by coldgyn : 17th January 2008 at 03:49 PM. |

But - it was so heavy my shelf broke. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ "One of the 'ORIGINAL' TanToday Gang" |
