Is the tide beginning to turn......
At what point will the tanning industry have the organization, integrity, determination and ammunition to fire back. I was listening to the radio today and Centrum vitamins are promoting they have added Vitamin D for breast health. Why is it acceptable to make that claim..... but not make the claim the best way to obtain vitamin D is thourgh UV exposure????
When, where and how do we as an industry launch are attack... I know the ITA has been fighting this battle for a while now.... but I want an all out offensive... We need to educate our customers.....yes I know... but, that ends up as an agenda based statement...... Lets get the truth out..... Tan your butt to save your boobs!!! (Come on Eileen...... Get it started.... I nominate you for Czar) |

Seems there is more articles every day about the good things from tanning. I do think people are starting to get the message that sun might be actually good for them.

well as i've said in another topic, if we all stood together and shouted the benifits of tanning that we know of, that we are not allowed to say, as a whole industry, and if we all stood side by side and fought the lawsuit to come, how can they deny and threaten us as a group. We have enough stong knowlegable people in our industry, and as a whole group, we could all so very easily fund a lawsuit that would help change the laws and what we can say. Look to Doug McNab, of Fabutan, He fought it alone, not other salons backing him, and he got somewhere with him. Albeit he has many salons under his franchise organization, but we would be way more the MASS if we all banned together and agreed to work together and speek as one and stand up for each other.
I say bring the lawsuit to us, let them start it, let us smear them in it and demand loss for how many years of propoganda. If you haven't read the "sunscare crime report" by Mo Spher, now is the time. http://engfant.com/crimereportmay2008.pdf |
