Default Robbie Segler CEO of Darque Tan.... Good Job Robbie

Indoor Tanning Put in Same Category as Sunshine; Public Response: DUH!

Sensationalized headlines comparing indoor tanning to toxins and poisons like mustard gas, cigarettes, and arsenic are outrageously overhyped", stated the Indoor Tanning Association (ITA) which advocates tanning in moderation, never sun burning and were possible, seeking the guidance of trained professionals like those at Darque Tan and other members of the Indoor Tanning Association.

, stated the Indoor Tanning Association (ITA) which advocates tanning in moderation, never sun burning and were possible, seeking the guidance of trained professionals like those at Darque Tan and other members of the Indoor Tanning Association. Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 8, 2009 -- The ITA reported that
Is a glass of merlot as deadly as mustard gas and is beer as deadly as arsenic?
It is ridiculous to equate these with one another. Comparisons like these are recklessly reported to scare people away from UV light
dosage is the real issue which is why Darque Tan and the Indoor Tanning Association have always emphasized the importance of tanning in moderation
Over-exposure AND under-exposure to UV light has been associated with an increased risk of some forms of cancer, but the overwhelming majority of scientific evidence shows no casual connection between moderate indoor tanning and melanoma

Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 8, 2009 -- The ITA reported that "Sensationalized headlines comparing indoor tanning to toxins and poisons like mustard gas, cigarettes, and arsenic are outrageously overhyped. UV Light from a tanning bed is the same as UV light from sunshine which has had a "group 1" classification since 1992. So it's no surprise that tanning beds have now been put into this category which also includes red wine, beer and salted fish".

Darque Tan, which has more than 100 locations around the nation and is an ITA member, posed the question, "Is a glass of merlot as deadly as mustard gas and is beer as deadly as arsenic?" to demonstrate the absurdity of the way this has been handled in the media. Robbie Segler, CEO of Darque Tan, says" It is ridiculous to equate these with one another. Comparisons like these are recklessly reported to scare people away from UV light ". Segler went on to state that "dosage is the real issue which is why Darque Tan and the Indoor Tanning Association have always emphasized the importance of tanning in moderation" He also noted that "Over-exposure AND under-exposure to UV light has been associated with an increased risk of some forms of cancer, but the overwhelming majority of scientific evidence shows no casual connection between moderate indoor tanning and melanoma"

Segler's advice- "Don't fall for the same old sun scare hype. Always tan in moderation. Never sunburn and were possible, seek the guidance of trained professionals like those at Darque Tan and the Indoor Tanning Association
