For Immediate Release: Monday, November 16, 2009
MR International Announces Funding Grants for Smart Tan Network and the Indoor Tanning Association (ITA) MR International, LLC and its Members announced funding grants for the Smart Tan Network and the Indoor Tanning Association (ITA). Max Recone announced at the MR International, LLC "2009 Summit Conference" a $12,000.00 funding grant for each of these Industry Organizations. Said Max Recone (CEO and General Manager), "Both of these Organizations serve the Tanning public and all of the Professionals of the Indoor Tanning Industry" These funding grants are to be used to support each organizations general funding needs". In addition, MR International announced that effective January 1, 2010 it will formally request all of its key suppliers to be Members in good standing with both organizations. Max commented, "the MR International Members strongly feel that all of our core suppliers need to support these Organizations and it is our goal to only deal with suppliers that understand the need to make sure that our Industry Organizations are supported". He further commented, "We believe that we are the first Company in our Industry to formally request that all of its Vendors to support these efforts". "We believe that we will gain full support from our Vendor Community". Matt Russell stated: "It is great to see organizations like MR International step-up and support the organizations that are working hard to defend and grow the North American Indoor Tanning Market. Fund raising is extremely difficult in any economy so this kind of support is especially welcome during these current economic conditions". John Overstreet, Executive Director of the ITA commented: "The ITA (Indoor Tanning Association) deeply appreciates MR International's vote of confidence in what we do - fight restrictive legislation to keep the Industry alive until everyone better appreciates the role moderate UV exposure plays in a healthy life style" "Our Industry is facing significant challenges in the coming year and without the support of everyone, we will have a much steeper hill to climb". MR International, LLC serves as a Cooperative supplier to many of the Tanning Industry's leading Retailers. The Company is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Contact Information: MR International, LLC. That Sounds great and all but I have a question?
So our NTTI Training wont cut it? I am An I.T.A member as well as a N.T.T.I member. Now we'll need to be smart tan trained as well to keep our MRI Affiliation? |

Since you are not identified who you are (Salon/Dealer/Manufacturer/Employee) it is very difficult to answer your question. MRI and its Membership fully realize that "our Industry" is under attack from many sides. We obviously believe that both ITA (Indoor Tanning Association) and the work that Matt Russell's group is doing in the area of Vitamin D Research and Salon Support are critical to our future. NTTI, to my knowledge is a store training program. We are also in support of Salon Training and Salon Staff Training. MRI is also in favor of properly trained Industry Personnel. Based on this - I am not sure what your question really is? Please explain further. We also think, that it is time for everyone to get "off the sidelines" and no matter what your issue may or may not be that we must all ban together to make sure the we get our message out and protect our Industry and livelyhood. I think what esun is asking is do all salons that sell your products have to be ITA members and Smart Tan members? If they are not will that result in them not being able to sell your products. |

Good to hear from you! You missed an excellent meeting down in Tampa, we wish you two had been able to come. If that is the question: We cannot force someone to be a Member of any Organization - we can ask that they consider these two great Organizations in their funding plans. As far as suppliers are concerned, we do have more weight with them. But again, we do not want to force them to do anything! We do strongly feel however that someone "who eats from the hand of the Industry" should be a true supporter of these two Organizations. If it comes down to two equally qualified suppliers - the Supplier who supports both will "win" all ties. Does this answer the questions at hand. I also received a private e-mail asking: "Why these two and why now?" Excellent question - I think that we have all felt that it is time for us all to pull together and MRI decided to take a leadership position in this area. I know many of you have always wondered - "How do I help?" We truly believe that this is the way to go. If you go to Matt's site you can see what he is up to and if you go to the ITA site you can see what they are up to. www.smarttan.com, www.theita.org, www.tanningtruth.com. Second question - "Where is the money coming from?" Excellent Question - our monies come from the Salon Owners that buy our products and from our Shareholders that have given up these potential profits to help protect our Industry and also to get the word out that there may be another side to the coin that no one is hearing about. It is time we come together! Max |
