Did any one watcht the Dr Oz show yesterday? I guess he had Dr Mercola on and they were advicating tanning beds. They stated certain factors that had to be in the beds to make them the ones to use. I had a new customer call me about it. She watched the show and now wants to tan because they said so many great benefits. I missed it. Was it really good?

I got a call today also; went to Dr. Oz’s web-site to look it up. I typed in 'Tanning Beds' in the search bar and EVERY link was very, very bad. So this must be brand new and no link is up yet. It also shows that he (and many other Doctors) are changing their attitudes. I am cautious on this one however since it is Mercola; he may be pushing a "specific" type of tanning unit. But hey, any change in the correct direction is good IMO.

Mercola's schpeal is to use beds with electronic ballasts claiming low EMF's. Your answer is of course our beds use electronic ballasts. Don't go into specifics but technically a choke is an individual electronic component so you are not actually lying even though they are not "electronic ballasts" in the sense of the word. Just go with it.

"Yes, our beds have electronic ballasts". ...only when prompted by this Mecola propaganda. At least they are pushing beds now and getting Dr. Oz on board is huge. Anything Oprah touches America latches onto. If he says it's good then people will be flocking.

I went to Dr Oz's website and clicked on yesterdays show it was on alternate medicine there was some clips you could watch. I also went to Dr Mercola website and i did learn that mostly he was saying to avoid the magnetic ballast and stick with the electronic newer ones. Either way after talking to the lady she is happy with what i have so she will be coming. When i called my lamp company they said they had recieved a few phone calls from the show. Anything positive is good!

Preach this to the "choir"; after all, the choir has friends who are always getting down on them for tanning. Preaching to the choir does work; they will spread the message to the others.

It's funny all the "oooohhhh and ahhhhh" when he says use a tanning bed, like he said something evil.

Of course again, they discuss that HP lamps only give you UVA. I wish these guys understood there is plenty of UVB in modern HP beds. But still good to hear Oz saying he is now reconsidering tanning beds as a healthy way to get your vitamin D.
