Re: Just a speech?
Poverty knows no color, it is not prejudice, it runs ramped in all walks of life, white, black, red, yellow, purple, etc...
Just because you are poor does not give you a free pass to be lazy or not have morals or not try to be a better person, that is a choice that comes from within. We are all born with the instinct for survival but if you have the choice to sponge off of society instead of making your own way then that opens the door to take advantage of the ones that choose to better themselves and their communities. It has nothing to do with your environment, it has to do with your self respect. If you want to be a piece of $h!t then you will be a piece of $h!t. Knowing right from wrong is inside all of us, some just choose to ignore it.
If there were less Government involvement then there would be more incentive for you to get off of your a$$ and make something of yourself instead of taking the easy road and have it handed to you.
It is time for people to start taking responsibility for themselves and stop acting like they are entitled to take from the others that actually do get up in the morning and make a better life and a better world.

Re: Just a speech?
Well, I've felt it all along. I'd actually feel more comfortable to see CLinton on the ticket. If she's not, I"ll probably swing republican.
I guess you guys had a fun Friday night. Claws came out

Re: Just a speech?
Ok, here we go about Mom. Dude, you obviously have no clue what I went thru nor the circumstances. If in less than a month your life gets thrown into turmoil, how would you have time to coordinate the sale? Here is a rundown AGAIN for those who missed it.
Mom gets news the cancer has spread to her entire body Dec 13, 2005. Treatment goes from monthly to weekly. If you know how chemo reacts with the body, you know that the day of treatment, there is alot of energy from the steriods. A day or so later, you cant even get up out of bed without help. So, there goes at least 2 days of my week with that. Nevermind the fact that her treatment took at least 4 hours and was downtown in the city. Sometimes we couldnt get her treatment that day depending on her cell count. We would have to get blood instead, then come back in a few days.
Now, tell me. How can I plan on being open and run the salon when each day would present a different issue? I tried it for a few weeks and we were closed at random times. NOT fair to my clients. Selling the business was just not a priority when I didnt want to spend the time dealing with potential buyers when all I wanted to do was focus on my mother. It was much easier to sell off the equipment when I felt like it.
If I wasnt successful, I would NOT have been able to quit last minute, not work for a year, return EVERY PENNY to clients (even ones that had just one session left) to a total of 2743 people. So, try to diminish what I did for my Mother all you want, but I would not change it for the world. I was there watching her die. WHen you watch the one you love go thru that and know it is the end, then come to me and talk about your choices.

Re: Just a speech?
Now lets discuss schools. Please remind me what schools outside of Archmere, Tower Hill, St. Marks, & Salesianum are decent in DE? Shall we start comparing transcripts and SAT scores now? But please be patient and speak slowly, it is hard for me to comprehend things...

Re: Just a speech?
Sorry for anyone who loses a family member. Just not buying you liquidated a $170,000 a year income rather than plugging any fool off the street in there to run it - or closing until you could get a buyer. Hiring a real estate agent to list your place is about the easiest thing on the planet to do.
I didn't buy it a year ago when you laid that story on me and I aint buying it now. $170,000 income in an all stand-up salon? Nope. And then just liquidate it? Nope. Ain't buying it.

Re: Just a speech?
Even worse than your comprehension is your propensity to assume things. Just because I live in DE doesn't mean I was raised there.

FIT, for someone who supports the great healer (who wants to bring us all together and do away with old-style politics), you certainly have allowed yourself to wrestle in the mud the old fashioned way.
You are making personal attacks and questioning someone's integrity. That is very old school politics. Bill Clinton would be very proud of you. Tsk Tsk.

Re: Just a speech?
Queenie has personally attacked me numerous times over the past year and I've held it back. It doesn't make me right but just had enough.
