I can't speak for everyone but as I read the transcript from Barack's speech about race today it reaffirmed why I support him. I believe every word in this speech. I'm sure some don't and never will but I do. I believe for the first time in a long time that a legitimate contender for our nation's leader is in it for the right reason. I believe he has one goal - and it has nothing to do with what being the President of the United States does for Barack Obama. I believe his only goal is to improve his nation. To help perfect this union. I hope others do too. |

I would love to be able to vote for a black candidate, but not this one. (He's only half black, so I only feel half guilt).
He either lied in the speech today or lied to Foxs New Friday night about knowing about what Rev. Wright said. The Clinton brothers are going to turn Obama into toast.

Yesterday he said he wasn't there when the minister gave those speeches and he had never heard him say those things before. Today he said something toally different. I have a problem with double standards. When Trent Lott, who I am not a fan of, said some nice things about Sen Thurman on his 100th birthday, the dems tore him apart because it might be racist. Now Obama defends the minister making racist remarks and goes to this church for 20 years and he makes kissy face with the press and everything is ok.
Can you see what kind of coverage a Republican would get if his minister was making the same kind of statements about blacks that Obama's minister said about whites. Which one would have been called a rasist and which one would be allowed to play kissy face? |

The only problem is that he'll be reaching into my pocket in order to do it. You naysayers who don't trust him though... come on, he's from Chicago. If you can't trust a Chicago politician, who can you trust?

Off topic ----- BOB! Wowza! Long time, no see! Hope you are not on cause your salon is rocking!
I was just wondering about you the other day. On topic ---- He is just like every other politician - they say whatever they have to in order to get elected. Problem with this one is he is going to tax us to death and take us right into a socialist government. Goodbye free choice, free speech, free everything else except handouts. Kathe

Flip flop, plain and simple. He is desperate and trying to cover his tracks. I spent 32 years in Chicago and he IS a typical Chicago / Illinois Democrat.
A vote for Obama or Clinton is a vote for the Government to spend 24% more of the gains you make in the stock market and your 401K if you take it out early. That's just one of the many tax increases everyone will be in for. Who would you rather have spending YOUR money? Yourself or the Government. Vote McCain! |

Just got this email, so true.....
A little over one year ago: 1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high; 2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon; 3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%. Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we've seen: 1) Consumer confidence plummet; 2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3 a gallon; 3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase); 4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses); 5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars; 6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure. America voted for change in 2006, and we got it! Remember this come November! |

I think the country needs change and I think we need a dem to do that. I'm independent for reasons as I'd vote in the right party for the job. If a republican comes in, I see 4 more years of the same. I say only 4 because after 4 people would really realize that we need change at that point.
I don't like to get real politcal, it's just a waste of time. The government is corrupt in that everyone has their own personal agenda. |
