| Hey, everyone! Thanks for the recent support; I promised I would post when I had something more official: For Immediate Release The Today's Image Las Vegas Tanning Expo trade show dates for 2005 continue to be June 15th - 17th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, with education and certification being offered on June 14th. We, as always, enjoy the support of the Indoor Tanning Association and again will proudly host their mid-year meeting at our venue in Las Vegas during the dates of our show. Nothing has changed. Rumors have been rampant over the past several weeks regarding another possible indoor tanning show that might try to position itself just a few days before (or possibly the same days as) our show in Las Vegas. We remain hopeful that this attempt to divide salon owners and exhibitors into separate camps will go no further than these rumors. And frankly, we're confident that any attempt to divide the industry will be seen for what it is...and will fail. Please know that the Las Vegas Tanning Expo that you have come to know and love will still be there for you this summer with these highlights: > Our famous opening night cocktail reception on the trade show floor. > Our infamous House of Blues Party. > The coveted Today's Image Salon Image and Decor Awards. > New business track courses and speakers. > Education and Advanced Certification provided by Rick Mattoon's American Tanning Institute. > The ever popular Salon Owner Roundtable Discussions. > The latest UV research from Dr. Michael Holick! > Meet Jonny Bronze! (don't ask) More info in Today's Image Magazine and at www.todaysimage.com > NEW FOR 2005!! Exhibitors may light up tanning beds for tanning and provide sunless tanning services on the show floor! Salon Owners: You'll find regular updates at www.todaysimage.com , or feel free to call toll free at 888-491-8265 Exhibitors: Call Jerry Lovell at 800-442-5667 x-509 or email jlovell@creativeage.com We're proud that the Las Vegas Tanning Expo has grown bigger and better each year and has become the tanning show that you wouldn't dream of missing. We pledge to do everything in our power to make this June 14th - 17th the best show yet. -the Today's Image Las Vegas Tanning Expo team- |

You'll also be able to follow Jonny's progress as he prepares for Vegas, with a storyline and video clips. Who knows...you may even get to meet him in person! --Amy E. | Moderator | Amy thank you so much for coming here. The Todays Image Expo has grown in the past few years and I hope it will continue to do so. Finally something for salon owners. To be able to test the equipment before a purchase will be a hugh step for everyone. The Industry does not need to be split. Matt Russell not only needs a "butt kickin`" he needs his head examined. Matt would you tell us why such a bad move on your part?? |

I'm excited about Vegas this year, and think we have several new things that will make the experience even better. Marster, the ITA has held its Mid-Year Meeting at our show for the past several years, and they have let us know that they'll continue to do so in 2005. We're happy to have them, and to have the opportunity to help the industry that we're all a part of. As for the magazine, it's always small from September to December, and will grow in size again starting in January. Just as the tanning industry is seasonal for salons, so it is for the businesses that support salons, like trade magazines. (This phenomenon worried the heck out of me the first year I worked on Today's Image. <grin>) The magazine is doing just fine; it may not be big right now, but it's definitely supporting itself, and it continues to allow me enough room to present a good variety of independent editorial each month. (I really liked the Paris Hilton simile, though!) --Amy E. Hamaker, editor Today's Image magazine ;-) |
