| 1. High Self Esteem. I think this is what I look for more than any other trait. They tend to be risk takers and if handed lemons they make lemonade! 2. Good Communication skills...our employees have to have that speacial twinkle in their eye when they talk! I think a good communicator will look you in the eye and listen! 3.Self Motivation....we need people working with us that are proactive and self motivated...I do not think you can train this..I believe it has to come from within and this type of person will have a plan and they go for it! 4. Dependability...this goes without saying...you have to show up...and early and be ready to start working 5. Passion, Energy, and more Passion....I love to watch someone with passion sell or wait on a customer...they are truly fun to watch and their passion is contagious! 6.Scrapper/Fighter...someone who does not give up...the people who will do whatever it takes for as long as it takes....they get knocked down but come back stronger.... 7. Enthusiasm...They are fun, they get everyone around them singing their song...you can't help but to get caught up in their smile and happiness about life... 8. Sense of humor...We all need to laugh...are customers want to laugh...I love salon workers with a personalitiy...someone that can make our customers laugh and forget about their day for a moment... I look for all of the above character traits...and we tend to pay more and we give them additional opportunities to make more money...if you want the best and want people to care...you have to pay them more and reward them for a job well done! If you are a salon that says "last name" then you would have a different criteria all together. |

They didn't waste that much time as it is illogical to spend twice as much time on school work just to move from a B to a A. Your best employees however will have straight A's. They have a small obsessive compulsive thing sometimes that makes them overperform. C's get degrees? So do B's and A's. Just not D's. |

| Moderator | C`s, B`s, A`s as long as they have common sense. Some straight students do not have any common sense and with anything in life that is a must. Some of my best employees never went to college but what they have done in life is work. Some have worked all their life. Straight A students are usually Sorority girls and if I can help it I don`t hire them. Employees with a family, children to send to school, car payments to make, divorced, etc they most always make good employees. JMHO |
