Steve , I did do a quick search but I found that most products or at least the ones I saw you had to be a dentist.

I would be interested in the product if it does what it says it does.. I could see it now.. Have the customer lay in a tanning bed for 20 mins and they put the mouth piece down and kill two birds with one stone sort a speak

The show was a lot smaller than shows in the past. ThEY DIDN'T NEED TO USE THAT EXTRA ROOM OFF THE MAIN FLOOR WHERE SMALLER BOOTHS USED TO BE. In fact, there was open spaces on the main floor.
On a good note, there seemed to be a lot more foot traffic than last year.

Two days are over and this show coverage is bleak. Didn't we get like a hundred pictures from Bruce in the old days? For those of us stuck in New Jersey with some snowflakes HOW ABOUT SOME PICTURES, (especially if you have some of drunk people falling down or making out).

uv-PAUL: any pics? do you know anything about the boob tanner they talked about below (at the mean people's site)?

Quote:
This show sucks!!! The number of bed companies is HALF what it used to be, and the number of little booths selling chachka's is up. Judging from the sizes of the booths, only the lotion companies are making any money.

It's Saturday afternoon at 1:15 pm and the show crowd should be at its max, but you can see it is WAY under attended

The bottom of the Ovation bed shown above is about 6 inches off the ground. The only way to get into that thing is to lie down on the floor and then roll into it, it is that low. What were you people thinking? And there is some alien in their booth and they are all wearing antenna-beanies. (rolling eyes)

DISAPPOINTMENTS

Attendance

Way fewer good-looking women

Leonardo was obviously beat up during shipping. Big pieces of paint off and dents. You have to feel bad for them.

Lack of bed companies selling reallistically priced beds.

TA un-originality on HP.

Where is Soltron, I haven't even found their booth. Are they in with Ergo this year?

Ultrasun booth should have had more activity. Not sure what is going on here. The Giga Sun (formerly Free-Stayl) will never go anywhere

The fact that my favorite JA is gone.

Just no buzz no excitement like prior years

LIKED

Future industries salesmen were actually wearing suits. Very classy. They looked very good compared to the orange and leathery customers they were shmoozing.

The Light Sources western saloon set up.

KBL units for high drama. In my opinion, most attention-grabbing line there by far. If you like the look of car headlights (I do) you will like these units. If you don't, you'll gag.

UWE for best high-end selection (range of units). I just think they are more interesting looking than Ergos

Dr. Muller for a solid line. Nothing like the KBL or UWE eye-candy, and not nearly the selection of UWE or Ergo, but each unit was good looking and solid.

Sontegra x-pod for prettiest unit. Used harlequin paints. Subtle, not flashy; just plain pretty. They really need to add a really big unit chock full of features.

Sportarredo for you have to look twice at everything. You either love it or hate it, but you do look at it.

The "wedge" thing. The piece of acrylic a gal pushes under her tits or ass to get rid of the white lines. Unfortunately, the wedge did not have any live models lifting their tits. That is a shame. This booth plus the booth selling security cameras has more people in it than UWE and Ergo combined! That's a sign of the times!

The little kid passing out balloons for the leasing company. He will be a good salesman some day!

If this show is in Nashville again next year I will not go, no way, no how. I hate Opryland! If you are reading this then you probably are not in Nashville, for which you should be grateful!!!

By the way, this gem was also found over there. The kid is taller than I expected (unless the guy on the left is a dwarf). Looks more like Danny Kaye in this picture than Bud from Married with Children.

Just got in folks. What a long day. Recap tomorrow but the people were there and they were buying. Supposedly more traffic than last years show (not hard to do) but the people came wih money. I spoke with a ton of vendors and most all, if not all, were happy with sales.

I never did find that blue light teeth whitener people though. Must have walked past it a few times.

I did meet Frankie and let me tell you folks, she is a real treat. Some cool people from Mystic were there with us in Rusty's bar watching the Georgia-Florida game. Thanks for buying me 2 Nashville beers guys!

We also won the Island Sun Times Industry Choice Award for Best Online Forum. YOU GUYS WON THIS!

Mr Tanlines, I feel slighted. I was there all day yesterday and you didnt call me for lunch. I ate with my friend EZ Livin Jim. Great food inside the gigantic Oprayland Hotel.

Default Nashville News...

Shame there hasn't been ANY credible coverage of this trade show from the floor as in years past.

Other than a post, or three, from uv-PaUL, (whom I miss immeasurably)........

Nada, nic, nothing!

Note to johnholmes: Spend 1/10 as much time actually WRITING about time on the show floor, meeting industry people, views on the equipment you finally see as an 'industry insider' , or just some humorous ditty's from the past 24 hours or so.............

Not one pic from the show floor, a visit from the night BEFORE the opening to the salon public, if not the general public at large, toting shopping carts behind them filled with bottles of free goo, no comments on any of the bigger 'events' from major suppliers, parties from ETS, to CalTan, or any of the 'other' events.

:VeryDisappointedFaceInsertedHere:

venting, there I'm done!
