Okay, so do we set this up in a room, off to the side in the lobby? It can do more than one person right, so do strangers want to be in a room together? Do people that have it book the times when you have an extra employee there?

Hi SRT, I just wanted to clarify that this machine does indeed have the digital counters on it. When the machine is first turned on it shows Phases 7 and time 90. Each phase is 5 minutes. When start is pressed the time counts down from 90 seconds with the Blue LED light on, after that it counts down 60 seconds off, then on 90 seconds, off 60 seconds. This equals one full phase. The machine then turns off, setting the timer to phase 6, and 90. The machine does not come on until you press start again. So the client can not be mistakenly put in for too long. Very easy!
The beauty of this machine is that it pulls in clientelle in to your salon who may never have tanned with you and then again still may not, so you're really expanding your clientelle by offering a service such as this in your salon.

I think it's up to the salon. Obviously a smaller room thats near the bathroom (for rinsing before and after) would be optimal.

This can be done anywhere! All you need is the machine, a chair, a mirror and some papertowels. We've done this in the lobby and we also have a large mirror across the back of our salon with a bar and barstools. The machine is set up to whiten one at a time. You can buy larger units, most salons will do well with a machine made for one.

Keep in mind we did this easily at the show without being near the restroom. At the end it is nice to have that near by, but they are not needing to get up during phases to have this done.

That was my concern. What happens if you get tied up with a tanning customer and another employee is cleaning beds and it goes over the 5 minute time and you can't get to the customer?
Yoo may need to commit to that one customer 12 times in an hour. Or if you have 4 customers on the machine at a time then it really could get crazy.

Right, basically what Amy is saying is you can start using this in your salon RIGHT NOW and start making profits in a time where usually they are hard to find.

You need a dedicated employee there for that hour. If you buy a larger machine that does multiple people at once, that 1 employee can handle them all. But it is not advised to have a bed cleaner or front counter person setting times on beds and running back and forth trying to whiten a clients teeth. Can it be done? YES! Should it be done? Probably not. This is more of a spa service and that client is paying for 2 things: great white teeth and the feeling of being pampered.

So appointments are necessary and walk ins can't be done unless you want to pay someone to sit around and hope people come in and want their teeth whitened.

Sandi you should just do this right at your bar!! Then when people are coming in to tan they'll be like "wazzat?" You're standing there anyway, & its not like they can talk to you...

Yeah, that's probably the most awkward part is while you are waiting on them, they can't talk(which is nice, btw ) but it's a tad awkward cuz you're just standing there.

But all in all, great machine, great results.

Sandi,
I don't give out #'s to anyone, especially on a public forum, but I can tell you we've had our machine around 2 months now, and it's paid for itself.

So we're suppose to pay someone to sit and wait in case people come in for whitening? I guess you'd have to only book the sessions at times when you know you'll have someone there. Would suck though if someone came in but you were by yourself.

That's still my biggest concern, if there was a system so it could be totally self service with no need for an employee to be available (besides initial instructions of course) then I would probably replace my Whitespa with it. If i remember correctly the gel was also in bulk so that could be another obstacle in making it 100% self serve. With Whitespa each client gets their own syringe of gel that they use. Any unused gel I have them take home and they can come back with it and do $99 touchups. If there is a way to make it self serve and sanitary I'm very interested in hearing about it.

Think of this service as an add on like FormoStar, air brushing or massage. You could take walkings now since most salons are deader than dead but when you are in season you would need to book appts because a dedicated employee is needed. Say you pay them their hourly wage than $5-10 to come in on call. I know you could find someone in your salon like that.

It aint rocket science, folks. Book the appt, have the emplyee there to do them and collect the cash. We already sold 1 unit and I just mentioned that TanToday is an online retailer of Miracle Brightwhites an hour ago. WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, this will be the machine you pay off the quickest.

Email me directly at alan@tantoday.com for additional details on the Show Special package and what that includes. You can make your entire investment back with the starter kit. Then you have the machine to use over and over again.

Jeebus, I didn't ask for financials....just wondering about traffic flow to see if it's only beneficial in larger salons. No shooters for you on the RV. ***Meri, take note.

They usually just stare at me with a weird look anyway. At least this time they'd have a reason.

No, hydrogen peroxide is what I got from the dentist. Works wonders but gives you a sore throat if swallowed and its impossible to not swallow some while sleeping with the molds in your mouth. It also made my teeth super sensitive to hot and cold extremes.

Miracle Brightwhites uses carbamide peroxide which doesn't cause sensitivity.
