| TanToday Community Development Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Phoenix Posts: 518 | There also is NTTI (National Tanning Training Institute), which was formed in 1992 and has been training salons owners nationwide since. Amy Thorlin, NTTI's Training Director, is offering TanToday members a special 5-pack of Basic Certification for a reduced price of $164.95. That's a savings of $130. She also will put together a single price code that I can post later. Visit www.tanningtraining.com/5pack to take advantage of this offer or call (800) 529-1101. NTTI also was the the first training program to introduce online salon certification in 2001, which allows you to have your employees take the test at their convenience. All NTTI materials are online for review FREE and can be downloaded prior to testing. NTTI online Basic Certification is recognized in all states except Oregon, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and New Hampshire that require in-classroom training. You only pay when you pass the test and order the certificate. Also, membership is FREE. Hope this helps. __________________ Judie Bizzozero Group Editorial Director LOOKING FIT ![]() www.lookingfit.com www.tanningtraining.com www.tantoday.com |

| Veteran Industry Trainer Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Phoenix Posts: 287 | Hi totaleclipse, GREAT QUESTION! First off, no matter what program you choose, you and your staff should not only be certified, you should also try and attend trade shows and read the trade magazines for continuing education. Technology is always changing! As for a choice of programs, don’t settle on price alone. Visit the various training sites and look for a program that is easily accessible and user friendly. Although the content of various training programs tend to be similar, we all have a different approach to our delivery. So, take some time, talk to other salon owners and visit the sites… Smart Tan SmartTan.com NTI TanningTraining.com SAE suntanningedu.com ATI TanningProgram.com Let me know if I can help further! PS. Give the programs a call and chat with staff. Your calls should always be welcome! __________________ Rick Mattoon American Tanning Institute www.tanningprogram.com rick@tanningprogram.com |

I forgot to mention the good work of SAE. Joe Schuster and his fellow trainers are always on the road training too. __________________ Judie Bizzozero Group Editorial Director LOOKING FIT ![]() www.lookingfit.com www.tanningtraining.com www.tantoday.com |

Also, distributors hold symposiums at the beginning of the season--usually January, February and March. __________________ Judie Bizzozero Group Editorial Director LOOKING FIT ![]() www.lookingfit.com www.tanningtraining.com www.tantoday.com |
