| I do the airbrush spray tanning for our clients and I'm reading more and more online that it is recommended to use a water based moisturizer a couple of hours before your spray tan is applied... I've always prepped my clients to exfoliate and come in with NO lotion on. What do you all do?

I dont wanna be the guinea pig and try it though... ![]() __________________ www.myspace.com/islandsunnola |

| Super Star | I tell my tanners to use an aloe or water based moisterizer prior to their airbrush. I also say if they cant find one of those or are confused, use nothing and I have stuff to prep them at the salon __________________ "Well-behaved women seldom make history." --Laurel Thatcher Ulrich |

If the skin is really dry the solution may absorb more into the dry areas, and may be blotched or streaked. Mystic sells pre-spray moisturizers. And they do help with a more even application. |

I do have a client who says the Mystic packettes irritate her skin particularly just after shaving her legs tho... but her sprays always go on beautifully. You kinda need these as you don't want your clients thinking its ok to tan dry. I forgot once and had a spray just after using a tingle -- not a problem, got great color! |
